Alexander will target Flowery Woods with Divine Judgement and then wipe out entire groups at a time once the boss is dead.

Fuzz unleashes all hell from his sphere as a massive war breaks out between Sectonia's army and his own. While they are busy fighting, Fuzz, Lupis, and Yew manage to make it past all the insanity and into the chambers where King DeDeDe is being held. But something isn't right. Taranza is controlling King DeDeDe. The king turns to you and looks ready to charge!

(You know, if I really wanted to I could probably cut the thin puppet strings attached to Dedede or directly attack Taranza to see what happens, but seeing how that wouldn't be any fun I'll do this legitimately.) Lupis flies to the side as Kain breathes fire at the king, Mr. Fuzz follows it up with a counter warp (warp behind and slash at his back), and Yew uses Utsusemi with Transcience and Comeback Kid.

(Well apparently Kirby's abilities couldn't cut the ropes either, so I'll just use that as an excuse I guess. Besides, I've been looking forward to this part. It's where the boss battles REALLY begin.)

Lupis rides Kain past King DeDeDe to the side while breathing fire at him, but as King DeDeDe charges forward, he trips and causes stars to fly out of him, doing slight damage to Lupis, but practically nothing. Yew dodges quickly before countering while Fuzz appears above the knocked over DeDeDe and stabs him with the Hardcore Sword. The normal King DeDeDe seemed disappointingly easy, already being defeated. But wait...Taranza blasts dark energy at him as he transforms, gaining a mask and smashing a nearby statue to pieces, grabbing a giant axe! He's just getting started it seems. King DeDeDe jumps in the air and starts spinning around with his axe while Taranza begins shooting some shadow balls at you as well.

Alright, time to go on the defensive. Yew will cast Dark Mirror Blast on the entire party, Lupis will use Rescue on him so he's not a sitting duck, and Mr. Fuzz will teleport as necessary to avoid Dedede, slashing at him when he calms down before warping back to a safe distance.

Yew reflects the dark magic right back at Taranzia and notices he's actually starting to run low on MP from all the magic he's been using over the course of the exploration. Better be careful with your use. Lupis then swoops in and grabs him while he's unable to move. Fuzz warps over into the background and waits while Lupis braces himself against DeDeDe's powerful axe. He takes some damage, but is okay. Fuzz then teleports back in and slashes DeDeDe. DeDeDe gets back up and jumps up high in the air so you can't see him while Taranza creates a dark circle around Yew and Lupis.
(Dodging normal attacks is too easy. I gotta make some of them up.)

Lupis raises his shield upwards. Since Dedede is probably going to land on them, he'll try to angle it in such a way so that rather than taking the full force of the hit he'll deflect him and most of the force safely off to the side. If that circle does dark damage (although I assume it's just holding them in place) then the Shadow Mirror on both of them should keep them safe. Meanwhile, Mr. Fuzz will teleport directly below Taranza (he wouldn't dare have Dedede crash down on top of him, and if he's floating over the pit then doing so would be suicide while I can just warp back to solid ground) and perform an upwards overhead slash. Yew... Does absolutely nothing, although next turn I've got an idea.

Lupis blocks DeDeDe as he drops from the sky, getting pushed slightly into the ground as the floor beneath him starts to crack. Kain quickly takes flight, moving out of the way while the floor collapses in the spot Lupis was in while Lupis is still holding DeDeDe above him on his shield. Fuzz teleports beneath Taranza and slashes him. DeDeDe continues to stand on Lupis shield as he charges up an attack with his axe. Taranza seems mad at Fuzz and attaches strings to him.

Warp out of the strings and switch to the Brotherhood (and if teleporting doesn't remove them, spin it above me to cut them), then take advantage of how light and easy to use by performing a flurry of slashes at Taranza. "Yeah, I don't think so." Yew casts Osmose on Taranza as Lupis performs a Power Smash like motion to push Dedede off of his shield before flying up and to the side, around the axe slash, and above him to Power Smash him down to the ground. Question: Dedede is in my database. If I instead defeat Taranza without knocking Dedede out, would I be able to use him in the final battles as a reward for doing things differently?

(I'm gonna say no. Not unless you want to give up your bonus coins for having one less character than usual.)
