...Well, so much for the chasing the criminal part. :P
Vereor uses Astonish to teleport behind Liepard and tackle it, but Astonish seems to be not very effective. Markus teleports in front of Liepard afterwards, however, and unleashes a Disarming Voice to knock it backward into Chip's Volt Tackle. The criminal is surrounded and won't be able to escape now! Looks like the real fight is beginning! Liepard kicks sand into Chip's eyes! He can't see anymore! Chip's badge shows he is still in the green, but has taken some recoil damage. Vereor and Markus still have full gauges.

Vereor creates a mysterious illusion and confuses Liepard as they attack themselves. Chip zaps Liepard with Thundershock as well before Markus finishes things up with Disarming Voice. The Liepard falls. The criminal has been caught!
All team members level up!
(Please hold while I check for new moves)
The team then heads back to the guild to receive their reward.
