It's because Laura greatly dislikes Karl and thinks he's a terrible person that only cares about pop tarts.
She also never travels with him because she thinks he'd let them all die and run away without caring at all.

So to clarify, is dating the only way to boost support level or can you just become friends?

You can just be friends. But there are benefits to dating someone you can't get otherwise at a rank 10.

Eh, it could make for an interesting sort of challenge character. Alright, I've got a bit of a strange character idea (the kind of thing you would see Pie do with a character only with less Nazi jokes), just give me some time to fill out a signup.

Pie's character is the biggest challenge character so far. He already got a Broken Link! It's a new record.

Name: Robbie Edneck Gender: Male Age/Class: 16, Sophomore Birthday: February 19th Appearance: A lean yet athletic teenager, Robbie has green eyes, messy brown hair, and a bit of a farmer's tan. Wears a dirty beige shirt, faded blue overalls, a straw hat, and cowboy boots (you're lucky he doesn't have spurs, the thought crossed my mind)
Vitcon Appearance: Aside from a piece of straw in his mouth that he seems to be able to replace any time something happens to it and the fact that he finally gets those spurs, he doesn't look any different. Weapon: Pitchfork, although he doesn't exactly use it for fighting how you would expect. It's used more like a Staff or Rod... Element: since "barnyard animals" isn't an element, neutral. Skills: -Sheep Charge: Summons a sheep to charge at an enemy. Single target damage. -Bull Counter: Summons a bull in front of Robbie to take a hit for him that turn. If hit by a melee attack, it angrily attacks the opponent with its horns.

I think fuzzy should be fine unless his character ahould be fine as long as he doesn't pull a pie abd basically declare a war on Ferrets while finding a way to piss off all the non hostile animals in the vitcon world in one way or another. Oh and basically leaves everyone to clean up there mess while ypu talk about Ferrets, pop tarts, and milk

It's like if we made Donny a mage...!
Well this should be interesting. You've got six bonus points to spend on your social skills.
Courage Diligence Understanding Expression Knowledge

...Why did you make Texas a playable character?! Because I'm going to make Meteor Sheep an actual move, and it will be glorious. Anyways, knowledge gets a one because even if it's not the most useful knowledge in a social skill farm knowledge is still knowledge, understanding gets a one, courage gets a one, and diligence gets a three and will probably be his main stat.

So what do you guys plan on having your characters' party roles be? That might help me decide what types of skills the others gain from being with them.

Robbie is mostly just an attacker, although he also makes a great tank unit against physical attackers by virtue of blocking and countering their attacks. Counters may be a nice thing to have others learn from him.

I can't just add ten counters that are unique to each character. I'd have to make it a broad category like Defensive Skills so that I can make things incredibly vague and convenient for me when I write myself into a corner.
