Julia analyzes the Sludge Snails. Their attacks are Poison Spit and Poison Wave. Both of which can poison their enemies. They are living masses of lake sludge that will eat anything you feed them. In fact, they'll literally eat ANYTHING just by absorbing it within their sludge mass. They look absolutely disgusting and smell awful. They are fairly slow, however. They drop Toxic Fluid and Muddy Cloth. They are Poison element and are resistant to Poison and Poison status. They are weak to clean Water and vulnerable to Freeze status. If you touch them with physical attacks, you get poisoned immediately! Tab throws a paper at one of the Sludge Snails followed by Fox throwing flames into it. Raine summons forth a bunch of plants to grow out of the ground and ravage through the battlefield. One of the Sludge Snails are defeated. Two others spit poison at Raine and Tab and the last one causes a wave of sludge to wash over the entire party, damaging them all. Fox and Tab have been poisoned!

Morgan is pretty sure it just means the ferret was just thinking and curious. It doesn't really mean hostility or friendship. It just means it's still trying to figure out what to think about you. Morgan, Karl, and Laura then join the fishing group, finding them battling a bunch of sludge monsters.

Morgan uses bullet rain (with the light blade) on those sludge jerks.

Morgan runs in and rains light beams from the sky while Julia slows time and shoots each of the snails. Tab throws another paper at one while Fox shoots flames at another. Raine then creates more plants that violently rage through the enemies, defeating the Sludge Snails.
