I have 30 characters and typically only use a few at a time. Throwing all 70 out would have been total overkill, hence why there's now a cap. I'm personally glad there's a cap on it. Swarming everyone would be boring. |

---Death---
Users: Users respawn somewhere safe when they die.
Assists: Assists can die. There's special locations in which they can be brought back and some items which can resurrect them.
Bonded characters: Bonded characters can die. If you redo the trial you did to get said character, you will bring it back. The trials will change amd be more difficult every time though.
NPCs: NPCs die permanently. There's places where you can revive NPCs you were really close with though.

Hooray! I murdered an entire highway of people you'll never be able to revive! That's one area that has been destroyed. ON TO THE NEXT LOCATION OF THE APOCALYPSE!

I still consider it a victory. I also left behind a demon that blows stuff up and a burning highway, so that's good enough for me. AND I GOT A SOUL PIECE ANYWAY SO HA!
