While Ultra's brain is melting from a puzzle overdoes...
Pie is eating popcorn and watching his NPCs getting shit done.
(Seriously though, Pie uses his NPCs very well.)

Reminders because Blood joined the game.
Newspapers: Newspapers are a great source of information. Going to sleep will upate the newspapers for your character.
Recruiting: Any character which is not pure or chaotic evil can be invited to live at your base.
Death: Users respawn when they die. Assists can be revived at certain altars. Bonded characters can be revived by redoing the trial they were unlocked in. NPCs die permanently. Orb characters return inside the orb when defeated and cannot be used again during the current event.
Link: Having a strong link with an NPC will give you the opportunity to revive them at the altars where you can revive an assist.
Currency: In this world, Gold is used. Gold is earned when you have shops in your base, by exploring dungeons or by playing mini-games. You can also permanently lose an object from your orb if you don't want to use gold.
