I don't really have anything to do at the moment, but I'm still interested. Might I make a request? As is we're pretty much entirely removed from combat with the only input being us choosing who to have fight. What if we had some way to provide support? Perhaps there could be a way to learn and use special songs that rather than replacing something's song/making them explode without their current song removed first instead temporarily augment them in some way such as boosting one of their stats or gradually regenerating health for as long as the song plays.

Well the point is that you don't fight directly. The way you're supposed to help us by changing your ally's abilities and equipment both before and during battle with your songs. You also pretty much give them any commands they may need. You can provide tactics or strategies. The point is supposed to be that you can't fight directly though. That's where the challenge comes from since you'll have to think differently. Most games players can just plow through anything by killing everyone, but in this one that's not an option. Well it is, but it's an option that will not end well for you.

...Meh. I wasn't exactly clicking with this game ever since it started and now with the black mark and the penguins, it feels like my character's spiraled out of my own control. I'll still play it, but I dunno...
Can: "...There was a Tuner malo there who sent lizarditos at us. So I did the same cosa as you. I put two songs in one of ellos, and... Boom. And then I got this mark negro. Nasty stuff."

Yeah, but some buffs that don't require completely changing a character's fighting style wouldn't be all that extreme. We still wouldn't actually be participating.

Milton: "And this mark that absorbs darkness... Do you feel anything from it?"

Milton: "I think it would be better to cut off your hand and destroy it...
This is clearly black magic. I wouldn't hesitate if it was my hand.
I would get rid of this before I can know what that thing does.
It's not my hand though..."

The party moves onwards and the path leads them into a large cave. Inside, they find a wide open space where a town has been built. Large, rocky humanoids walk around here. They have glowing eyes. One of them notices your group. "Welcome to Golem Mountain. We are the Golems. Is there something you want?"

Milton: "The gods are angry, turning islands into "the gray", which is basically turning them completely lifeless.
We were chosen and given powers to help evacuate any living beings on the islands. Unfortunately, I accidentally misused my powers because of some misinformation from my guide. This made the Rockdillos flee somewhere.
While your race must also be evacuated, help in retrieving the Rockdillos would be greatly appreciated. "

"Okay. Golems will help. We will evacuate now." The Golem goes around and tells the others about the island turning gray and they all leave, heading towards your island for the most part. One Golem does not leave though.
"My friend went to the mountain ruins. At the top of the mountain at the peak. Can you help me find him? The only way to get to the mountain peak is with the help of a large bird. I am scared of this bird though..."
