(How do Battle dates in Undertale work?)

You toss Pixy the Dating Battle Simulator and then bam! Using it, the battle has suddenly become a date! The Dating Battle Simulator is still intact as well. It seems you can use it multiple times. Pixy's options are displayed along with Shadow Wing's Heart Level and Pixy's Confidence Level. If you get Shadow Wing's Heart Level to 10, the date is a success! If your Confidence Level reaches 0, however, the date will be failed. Pay close attention to Shadow Wing's reactions and respond accordingly.

Pixy asks Shadow Wing how the weather is. Shadow Wing responds by creating a Shadow Storm that tears apart the stage. Pixy is impressed by the control of weather. Shadow Wing's Heart Level increased by 1!

Pixy confesses her true feelings to Shadow Wing, causing Shadow Wing to be absolutely shocked! The rock hard exterior shatters and you've made it through to Shadow Wing! Heart Level has been maxed out! Pixy's confidence is fully restored!

DATE CLEAR!

Pixy's Date Level increased to two! Pixy's Charm increased by 1! Pixy's Max Confidence increased by 1!

Shadow Wing in complete shock at the confession is shocked right out of his rampaging state! The Pokemon collapses on the ground and slowly transforms back into Ultrawing. That was...really eventful. Ultrawing doesn't seem to remember anything that happened while he was Shadow Wing. Looking around, it seems the stage has been saved for the most part. The audience members all ran away though. Everyone is probably hiding in a panic...wait...something else is happening! The Mysterious Egg in your inventory is moving around! In fact...it's jumping around! The egg bounces right out of the arena and starts going on its way outside! You better catch it!

The Angry Melee Elitists critcizes Brawl. Carl agrees with them, saying that brawling isn't his favorite thing to do. He prefers hiding in closets to sleep. The Melee Elitists are less angry.

The Boos scatter and find that there's a tunnel behind a wall.

Bowser summons a Magikoopa to attack one of the skull. It has no effect.

Bowser punches the block, making it moves. He notices that there's a bowl-like shaped hole on top of it.

Objection!
While the staff would certainly work on most of us, Lupis has the ability Loyal which makes it so that he can't be inflicted with status conditions. Now, Jafar is capable of using his staff to charm others into following his commands, something that would most likely be classified as a one turn variant of Charm as it does the exact same thing. Since Charm is a status condition, that grants him (and only him, I'm not trying to stretch this into an easy way out for everyone, although since Kain is classified as an extension of him and it would completely defeat the point if any enemy could just inflict status conditions on him and interfere with Lupis' ability to fight anyways) immunity.
On another note, I'm gonna laugh if his one command is "Show yourselves" since we have no control over that. We haven't gone anywhere, he just can't see us. In any case, if he orders us to kill civilians, Lupis will either block the attacks with Body Shield or destroy the staff, whichever is quicker (and before he just puts the staff away, it likely only works as long as it's out). If he tells us to hand over our spheres or kill ourselves, Lupis will immediately go for the staff. Either way he can't see Lupis and the staff was destroyed in Aladdin at one point (at least I'm pretty sure it was) and thus isn't indestructible, so it should be relatively easy.
