The three trainers make their way over to Exca Village using Coilette's motorcycle. This place is rather small. There's only a few buildings here. Some are residential buildings, a Pokemon Center, the large museum you were sent here to speak with, and a large building that looks to be the office for excavation sites. Apparently fossils can be found in this desert. You are free to go wherever you would like.

Coilette: "I'll go talk with the people! They say it's okay to barge into people's houses to ask stuff. Sometimes they even give you stuff! Like maybe doggies..."
Coilette will annoy investigate the residential buildings and ask the village people for information.

Claire: Mr. Shade you know how Coilette gets when she has an idea in mind. We can always go to the museum together and have her meet us there.

Shade lowers his tone, attempting to not be heard by anyone around the two of them.
"He wanted me to find their base of operations. While questioning the locals brought up no relevant leads, by surfing out in the direction the helicopter was seen I found a resort island called Squirtle Beach. After looking around for a bit I was able to find proof that the place was a front and even met with one of the kids from the lighthouse, but before I could find out anything of particular use other then that they believe what they're doing is right for reasons they can't explain a scientist offered me a helicopter ride back to the mainland, Cass picked up on something big, and we had to beat a hasty retreat."

Shade and Carrie head over to the museum and the receptionist waits there, greeting them.
Receptionist: Welcome! How may I help you today?

Coilette will knock on peoples' doors and go "Excuse me, would you happen to know anything at all about something called the Shadow Crystal? I'm on an investigation for the Pokémon Professor Pine."

Shade and Carrie
Receptionist: Oh my, a police officer? Well, I had no idea you wanted to investigate the museum's crystals. If you follow me, I can take you over to them.
The receptionist leads both Shade and Carrie through multiple exhibits over to a geology exhibit. There are a lot of different rocks and gems here.
Receptionist: Take your time to look around. Our new crystal is right over there.
She points over to a large crystal that is placed behind a glass case. It glows an ominous, dark purple color.
Coilette
Most of the people you speak to generally don't have any knowledge on the subject. It seems that Shadow Crystals aren't things a lot of people know about.

Coilette heads over to the dig sites office. Walking in, she immediately notices that Danny kid talking with a scientist. She jumps behind a nearby desk and watches from there.
