I'm not saying we aren't strong enough to fight them, merely to be careful."
(And there you have it, in addition to their gear being weakened this helps provide an explanation of why the enemies here are strong enough to pose a threat rather than getting curbstomped. If you had something else in mind I can edit it.)

(The best part is Jess remembers everything that happened and right now she's pissed at Mike)
Jess looks over towards Mike and she gives him the evil monkey point.
"You, you of all people are here,". "Your are so going to get, it you ......," Jess begins speaking in something that sounds like she wants to rip Mike limb from limb. "You left me with our son and daughter and now when I finally find you get amnesia," Jess hisses. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't beat the ever living Kupo out of you kupo," Jess says while tightening her fists.

"Now is no time for that, Jess. You can kill Mike later. For now, let's focus on finding out where we are and how to get out of wherever this is. The next step would be to find a way to get through those beetles. I'm not sure if we should try the brute force approach. It's possible we could find a way around...or maybe a way to burn that web along with them."

"First you just up and disappeared on me, then you send some Rix character,". "Then you just up and drop off the face of the Earth,". "Finally, now when I finally meet you after disappearing after so long, you have amnesia," Jess tells him as it looks like there is actual flames in it.
"What type of stupid messed up joke is this?" Jess says. "Arrggg theres no point in even beating answers out of you,". "Fine let's just beat up the stupid ladybug, and monsters already," Jess says as she makes her ways towards the foe.
