With his opponent grounded for the time being, Lyon transforms into his own dragon form-a large black dragon of similar size to Ryner- and unleashes a blast of dark flames at the downed dragon.

Lyon transforms fully into a black dragon and unleashes a dark flame breath on him, enveloping Ryner in fire. "Impressive. It looks like you're almost as strong as my sister." He unleashes another ball of light from his mouth, spitting it at Lyon. Once it comes into contact with him, the ball explodes and deals light element damage. It seems to hurt Lyon more than a usual attack would due to his Dark element typing. He manages to hold on though. It looks like Ryner is breathing heavy and about to go down.

Lyon shakes off the attack, ignoring the pain, and swiftly dive bombs his downed opponent, charging at great speed. "Enough! This ends now!"
Once he was close enough to the ground, Lyon unleashed another blast of dark fire at his opponent from near point blank range.

Lyon charges forward and goes right up to Ryner's face before unleashing a face full of dark fire on him. Ryner is returned to Manakete form and is knocked backward, struggling to get to his feet. He falls back to the ground, however. "I think I need...a nap..."

The crowd cheers and throws in coins from the observation area, toward Lyon.

It's Tiki and Idoun's first day at their new job, working as maids in Tartarus Castle! It's quite an honor to have been selected. As they prepare to begin exploring their new workplace, they get interrupted by a voice behind them. They turn to find a young woman in a black dress, wearing a black crown over chestnut hair. A battleaxe more than half her size is strapped to her back.
"Excuse me? Oh, you're the new recruits? A pleasure to meet you. I'm sorry to ask this of you - I know it's not your job, and I usually like to do it myself, but... I must ask you to handle weeding the garden today."
Tiki and Idoun realize it would probably be for the best to keep their draconic forms a secret... for now. Avoid unnecessary questions. Not like that would be necessary for weeding the garden.
As the pair enter the large courtyard, three man-sized flowers with lips and arm-like leaves spring out of the ground and prepare to attack.
Oh, so that's why the queen had the axe for gardening...

"Well, these are certainly interesting flowers... I suppose breathing fire on them is out of the question. Idoun? Any ideas?"
Tiki looks over at Idoun. Idoun is busy looking over her black and white maid outfit. It's very frilly and cute. Idoun looks over at Tiki. Tiki's outfit is similar, but it shows a lot more skin. Especially around the chest area. It seems the outfit is too small to cover her. Idoun stares at Tiki. Tiki blushes.
"Just stomp on them," Idoun says blandly.
Tiki blinks. Then shrugs. Tiki uses her well formed legs to launch herself a few feet into the air. Her skirt fans outward. She lands on top of the man-plant with a well placed stomp with all the natural strength of a dragon behind it. Idoun, meanwhile, takes out a Flux tome- where was she hiding that?!- and casts it at another man-plant. A blast of darkness sinks into the ground at Idoun's feet, then erupts beneath the man-plant.
"They're kinda cute," Idoun says in her usual monotone voice. "Do you think they taste good?"
"How would I know!" Tiki says.
Idoun stares at her. Tiki stares back.
*Meanwhile, Neo has a nosebleed thinking of Tiki and Idoun in maid outfits*

(Alright, so let's take Mario's jump damage against these things, then compare how Mario stacks against god-tier ancient dragons, and... Oh. Huh.)
Idoun's shadow magic explodes one of the Snapdragons. It scatters in a flurry of petals.
Tiki jumps on one of the other Snapdragons, stomping on its face-analogue before gracefully launching off. The flower seems to be badly damaged, but turns around and lashes out, whipping her with its vines. It's enough to tickle, just a little bit.
The final Snapdragon looks at Idoun and unleashes a wave of spores. Idoun begins to feel drowsy. She's going to fall asleep soon.

(Oh God Crow, vines. Vines. Vines, maid skirt, Tiki)
*nosebleed intensifies*
"Hey! Careful! You'll damage my outfit!"
Tiki whips around, leaps into the air, and roundhouse kicks the plant in the face. Her skirt flies up. Idoun doesn't seem to notice.
Idoun yawns. "Oh. I'm getting sleepy. These plant spores can affect dragons? Annoying."
Idoun takes out another tome- where is she keeping all of them?! This tome, however, is much stronger than the last.
"Bye."
Idoun places her hands together, forming a dark purple ball of crackling energy between her palms. A blinking, glowing purple magic circle spreads out beneath her feet, tendrils of energy rising up from it. The ball of energy held between her palms doubles in size and turns into the shape of a magic seal. The magic seal evaporates, and Idoun casts the Fenrir spell at the man-plant.
Dark magic rains down from the sky- er ceiling? And a purple magic circle envelops the plant. Then eight orbs of purple fire erupt into existence around the plant, forming the shape of a clock. The orbs then rush forward and collide with the plant, exploding in a brilliant nova of purple and white energy. It was all very pretty.
Idoun looks around. "...Oops. Did I overdo it a little?"

Tiki kicks the flower hard enough that it stops moving entirely.
Idoun violently explodes the final flower. She then falls asleep, leaving Tiki to do all the actual weeding herself.

The maid-dragons spe- ah, dammit, now it sounds like I took any level of inspiration from that anime...
The maid-dragons finish off the enemies, then one of them cleans up while the other naps like a cat-dragon.
The rest of the day is uneventful enough. They go through orientation, learn the basic layout of the castle... But there's still a few places they don't get a good look at.
- The first-floor kitchen. The head chef is extremely insistent that butlers and maids stay out, only chefs allowed in here.
- The dungeon. A lone guard guards the top of the stairs to make sure no one wanders down without permission. There aren't any prisoners right now, so security's pretty lax.
- The throne room (2F). A pair of royal guardsmen keep watch at all times, and no one's allowed in without reason.
- The king and queen's bedchambers (2F).
Mission: Investigate the remaining rooms without arousing suspicion.
