The man shakes his head. "I have not. What manner of foul beast do you speak of?"

"A giant snake creature they call Nyalarthotep. Not sure what that means, but I don't like big monsters scaring away customers."

The man slams his flagon down on the bar. A bit of beer sprays out over the lid in a geyser. "YOU DARE SPEAK THAT BLAGGARD'S NAME!?" he bellows, loud enough that the rest of the bar falls silent to stare.

"Hmph. The 'snake beast' is hardly that damnable creature. Merely one of its servants. And a pathetic one, at that. Tell me. What does a man such as yourself know of the Hunting Horrors?" the man in armor asks. Through the slits in his visor, he seems to be staring a hole through you.

"I know of the creatures, but I know not why they would show themselves. It would appear I need to look into things." The armored man picks up his flagon again. "...Tomorrow."

"...I fear you fail to grasp the gravity of the circumstances. But enough talk of such matters." He turns back to address the still-muted bar. "Return to your revelry! Worry not for your impending doom!" He turns back to you. "I will give you the number of one who can contact me if need be. And I shall return once I've found something."

Alethea is very flustered as you retreat. "You just threw a rock at the local headquarters for organized crime! That's, like, declaring war on the mob or somethin'! Didn't I just talk to you about investigatin' with some finesse at lunch? What the f-" A man kicks open the door, carrying what is unmistakably a shotgun. "Fucking run!" Alethea says again. She takes off, dipping into an alleyway.

"Holy fuck!" Strafe to the left of the guy and run away VERY quickly. Keep my head out of view as much as possible so they can't see my face.

You cut and run. You ain't stupid. Well... then again, you just threw a rock at the mafia. And the hospital... You decide to leave the introspection for later and focus on running. Alethea manages to ditch you pretty easily. She seemed to have no trouble escaping. As if she's done this before. Hell, she seemed to have her escape route all planned out.
Fortunately, the guy with the shotgun doesn't seem overly keen on running after you in the night while waving a shotgun. And... maybe he won't call the police, either...? It'd probably be a problem for them if the police were poking around... maybe...
It's late. You'll deal with this all later.
Move to Downtown.
Cyrus
The man hands you a phone number written on... is this parchment? He finishes his flagon, pays with cash, then leaves.
Dirk leaves before long. "I wouldn't... normally do this. And probably shouldn't. But..." he writes his number on his check. "If anything happens with Lizzy that has you worried..." He waves and leaves.
You work the rest of the night, but don't really hear any particularly interesting scuttlebutt. You've got a bit more business than usual. Looks like your advertisements at the circus paid off.
You close up with your employees, send them off, and head up to bed. Lizzy's already asleep by then. You originally start fumbling around in the dark, trying to be quiet to avoid waking her. But 'fumbling in the dark' and 'being quiet' don't really jive. Then you remember she's blind and turn on the light.
You make yourself as comfortable as possible and go to sleep on the couch...
Time: Day 1 (Wednesday)
You wake up to your alarm. So does Lizzy. "Wha- buh... Huh?" she asks. "Where... oh... Right..."

"Sorry, I forgot about that. You can go back to sleep if you're still tired." Cyrus turns the alarm off and gets ready for the day, heading downstairs.
Alright, we still need to find those other people from the dream. Who else was there? There was a woman with a gun, a businessman, and that girl with the broken ribs and the cat. It looks like we won't be seeing her from the hospital at this point. That already lead nowhere. Maybe the other two were familiar. Let's start with the gun woman. She knew how to use that thing, so either she's a cop or a criminal. Either way, he might find something out about her by heading to the police station. So that's our next destination.
