Your group manages to finish off the remaining soldiers without too much difficulty. Gradvius looks behind him at the new party members and sighs. "Look, follow us. It isn't safe here. It's better for us all to stick together than die separated."

Mira is quiet, but holds her halberd tightly. She then nods and the group continues to move onward.

They soon come across the main room, running behind a large machine and hiding behind it. Gradvius pokes his head out and then turns back to his allies. "Alright, I'll set the bombs. Stay here and stay quiet." He then darts off, running behind various objects and sneaking his way around to multiple pipes you can see attached the the giant, blue crystal. That must be how they drain the energy from it. But there's also a large machine here that seems to be converting the energy or something?

Mog, Sonja, Tear, Loafus, Namo, Virgil

Namo leaps at the mech and punches it over before Mog places cards at everyone's throats. Pretty much all of the civilians have run away from the area at this point. Only soldiers are left. As Mog does this, however, the soldier looks to him and pushes a button on his helmet. "Civilians hostile. Send in GAR-01."



As he says this, those remaining in the room can feel it shaking violently before the ceiling is blasted open, followed by the sound of a mechanical screech. A mech shaped like a giant, winged woman flies down into the room. Mog recognizes that shape as being the same as Garuda.

"Oh, great. The cotton ball made them summon a mech." Lilith prepares for battle and looks over to those that were previously not engaged by Mog. "No point in trying negotiations now. We're all on their radar."

The Magigen holds his staff and looks nervous. "We have to fight too...?"

Gradvius returns from setting the bombs in place and takes out a remote, pushing a button on it as powerful explosions detonate throughout the area. The machines attached to the crystal are all destroyed and fall apart as the soldiers within the area begin to panic. Finally, as the crystal is released, a cold air begins to fill the room. It actually begins to snow inside. A powerful light comes from the crystal and begins to move out of it. The soldiers in the area are frozen solid in blocks of ice. Gradvius then looks to the others. "Alright, let's get out of here. The crystal is free now."

As they begin to run toward the exit, however, a large sheet of ice drops in front of it and a powerful wind drags them back into the room. The light that came from the crystal changes into a humanoid form, becoming a blue woman. "...Shiva."

Shiva looks at the party and motions for them to battle her. Not in a particularly hostile fashion, but almost as if she wants to test their strength...
