Cinder runs towards where he heard the voice... And promptly trips.
"What the... *looks down* four legs? That wasn't a dream, was it..."
Cinder gets up and continues running, this time moving much more quickly and efficiently now that he's aware he has more than 2 legs.

Cinder: Hang on, I'm on my way! What the...four legs? That wasn't a dream, was it?
Cinder continues running, getting used to the four legs. It's unusual, but it feels similar to crawling. He does notice something as he runs and quickly stops. It's some kind of shadowy Pidgey. It won't let Cinder pass and it appears aggressive. Cinder has no choice but to fight it.

Cinder watches the Pidgey closely and opens his mouth, creating a small ball of fire that hits the Shadow Pokemon. The Pidgey is clearly damaged from the attack and quickly retaliates. The Pidgey jumps up at Cinder and pecks at him. Cinder is able to shake off the Pidgey, but those beaks are sharp. It hurt more than you expected a shadow to do. The Pidgey still stands though and you have to defeat it to move forward.

Cinder uses Ember again, and gets ready to try and dodge its counterattack.

Cinder blows another Ember from his mouth as it hits the Pidgey. The Shadow Pokemon collapses and dissolves into a shadow fog. Cinder was prepared for a counter attack, but it seems to be that he won. It's then he sees something floating up to him from the side. A Drifloon floats in towards him. It doesn't seem hostile, but it does seem to want to get Cinder's attention.
(The Drifloon is Clyde)

The two Pokemon move on ahead, aware of the forest's dangers. As they travel along, they come across another Shadow Pokemon. It's a Wurmple! The Wurmple notices the two and blocks the way forward. It won't let them pass. These Shadow Pokemon must really not want the others to go deeper into the woods.

Clyde lets out a puff of air from himself as he shrinks down in size. Wow, Minimize is a weird move. It seems Clyde hs Pokemon powers now too. He then notices Cinder in battle position.
Cinder: A bug type, huh? Heh, this shouldn't be too tough.
Cinder lets out another small ball of fire at the Wurmple as it flies into it. The Wurmple falls over after getting hit and poofs away in a shadow fog. The Wurmple was defeated. The two are now able to safely pass.
