---BOTW spoilers---
I have not finished BOTW. There will be no BOTW content in this game, unless I say so. Anyone spoiling something will see all their characters meet with a random permadeath. And I don't actually plan permadeath for this game.
---Type of characters---
Explorers are characters which explore the world to fight monsters and find treasures. They all start with a Melee weapon. Anything from BOTW is acceptable as long as it's not a spoiler weapon. They also start with one item from the Zelda series. Stasis is available.
Merchants are well... Merchants. They are characters built for social interactions and shouldn't be thrown into combat. Upon sign-up, you must choose 5 products your characters sells. It can be anything from the Zelda series. In case the Merchant ever has to defend himself, he has an infinite number of these 5 products.
Other social characters are ordinary people. They probably never leave their town and are built for social interactions. This doesn't mean they can't travel if they want to. They start with an Emergency Weapon, in case they have to defend themselves. This should be something weak.
Sages are special characters. You can choose their abilities yourself. They can decide wether to be an explorer or a social character. Note that whenever a sage is KO'd means that his town will be attackable by monsters for an in-game week. There can only be one sage per town.
---Combat---
Enemies are scaled down for 1V1 combat. Which means every character can only fight 1 opponent at once. The number of enemies during each combat will be equal to the number of explorers travelling togethers, wether player or NPC. Sages count as explorers.
Merchants and Other social characters can decide to fight instead of one explorer travelling with them.
The NPCs will always win their battle, unless it's a special event.
Example: 1 player explorer and 3 NPC explorer are walking in Hyrule Field and meet 2 Bokoblins and 2 Lizalfos. The player has to decide which of the 4 enemy he wants to fight. The other 3 will be fought by the NPCs.
---Bosses---
Boss Battles are different. They are scaled to fight 4 explorers at once, but there is no limit to how many characters can fight a boss at once.
---Death---
There is no Player Death in this game. You get KO'd instead. Being KO'd will always have consequences, like losing an item or some rupees.
NPCs can die during special events.
---Hometown---
In sign-ups, you are asked to pick an hometown. You can decide to be a nomad, living in a tent. Note that this means you have no home, no safe place.
---Playable races---
All humanoid races from the Zelda series are playable.
Note that if you pick a race which is usually a monster, it's important to specify in your backstory how you got accepted by society and your description also requires a specific trait which allows people to differentiate you from a monster.
---Sages---
Because there can be only 1 sage per town, it's important to warn me you want to play as a Sage ASAP. Once the game starts in two or three weeks (will explain that delay on another date), every town will have a Sage, which means no one can sign-up as a sage anymore.
---Playable characters---
This game is built for you to join as an original character. Note that the following 6 characters can be signed-up as though:
Link Zelda Impa Beedle Tingle Ganondorf (No access to Ganon. The game doesn't support evil characters.)
Sign-ups are now open. Any discussion or questions can be posted in this topic

Oh right. Forgot a few things.
---Number of characters---
You can have as many characters as you can handle.
---Travelling---
You tell me where you want to go, I'll guide your party to the location, stopping it if something happens on the way to the destination.
---Party size---
Parties have no limit. You can travel alone or with 20 people if you want. There is a limit of 10 explorers per parties though.
Note that I am not responsible for your failure if you fight a boss alone.
---Evil---
Note that the game doesn't support an evil route. That doesn't mean you can't be an asshole though.
---PVP---
I will not be moderating any PVP. In case of two players wanting to fight each other, these two players will have to either decide of the outcome of a fight together or find someone willing to mod their battle.

Kakariko Village's sage has been reserved.

Some clarifications:
---Sage's ability---
Mistakenly wrote "abilities" in the Sage sign-up sheet. Sages can only have one ability, but it should be as vague as possible while also having clear limitations.
Examples would be things like Plant Control, Fire Magic, Water Manipulation, Generation of weapons made of magic, summoning undead, etc.
---Bad Reputation---
Players which already signed-up might have noticed they have a bad reputation section in their information post. It means you will not be trusted in those towns. Bad reputations are not permanent. Your actions can make you lose your bad reputation. You can also gain bad reputations in-game, depending on your actions.
---Sage deadline---
Reminder that Friday is the deadline to reserve a sage. Any sage reserved on Saturday or later will not be accepted.

Hmmm... Can't decide wether I start the game with an empty bestiary or put 3 entries in each area so you know what kind of monsters would be there...

Hmmm... Can't decide wether I start the game with an empty bestiary or put 3 entries in each area so you know what kind of monsters would be there... Allowing the players to fill it out entirely would be more fun, IMO. This is just our personal bestiary, so it makes sense that we wouldn't know what was around without learning it either from NPCs, documents or discovery. Also, question. Is there also Good Reputation that could be earned?

You can indeed get good reputations, but I probably won't fill them in your character informations, cause good reputations are more intertwined with specific characters than an entire town's ideology like the bad reputation

Ahahaha, everyone wants to go to the Living Dungeon. Fuck that, I'm smart, I know my guy will get his ass beat there, at least without a lot of help. I'm giving that place a wide berth.
RIP Lazarus

Eh, he's got an NPC helping him and if things get too dangerous (like if he doesn't find any other adventurers inside the Living Dungeon and winds up struggling to do a thing to a boss designed to fight twice as many people as his party consists of) he can always get the hell out of there. Even if he doesn't run into trouble I don't intend on him going very far into it before leaving, just enough to help make exploring the whole thing a major goal of his for the game.

So, I'm making every normal battles 1 VS 1 so it's easier for me to update.
I'm probably gonna keep "same number of enemies as party members", but would you guys prefer all out battles?
I think the game is simple enough for me to handle them.

I'd be fine either way. As a character who primarily fights from a distance being able to choose whichever target works best on a turn while my allies cover me might be a bit more advantageous, but if someone else prefers 1v1 fights then I'm good with that too.

Alright, it's gonna be full-on battles for now on. Note that if you want to strategize and have the group each pick a target, you can still do it.
The thing is when multiple players are going to be involved in the same fight, when one finishes before the others, it'll be awkward if I keep the 1VS1 system.
Note that this also means that NPCs can now lose their battles.
