Some wack stuff happened involving people and one of the Guardians, Dragon, was slain. So no pacifist run for us.

Cccccccrrrrrrrrrroooooooooowwwwwwwwww why can't I get Raine to Kiss Sam? She only has 2 less charm points but they are rank 5.

Bitey bird best bird Stats can only translate to RP so much. A character with high charm can be RP'd as a character with low charm, intentionally or unintentionally. This doesn't just apply to Karl, you know. |

A) Raine is shy and Alice is (somewhat) daring
B) Sam hasn't really expressed any clear romantic intent
C) Alice only did it because it seemed like the thing to do after a date

Not like Sam was Ultra low compared to Ursula? Just was wondering if I was doing something wrong that's all. |

I told you the rank they'd go on a date is different for each NPC. And possibly for each NPC to each PC, depending on circumstances.
Rank 7->8 is still a special thing, though.

Ranks and stats are not everything. Sam and Nora are two polar opposite characters, and Alice and Raine are very different as well. Circumstances and character RP changes things. With how shy Sam is, and how I play Nora, Nora may as well have 20 more points in Charm than Sam instead of 2.

Depends. What amounts to a 20 point difference towards some NPCs may be a 20 point difference in the opposite direction to others.
Alice and Nora just have a lot in common, personality-wise, and are more open and forward.
Sam and Raine have a lot in common, too, but... y'know. Shy.
X have you ever tried to make 2 shy people hook up? Because I have. It's hard.
