Tai scratches the back of his neck. "Riiiiight. The tornado. That sucks ass." He sighs, shoving his hands into his pockets.
"The school would never let us sacrifice shit. And honestly I think Buttons is too... nice to actually kill any animals like that. Usually it's studying and reading latin, drawing runes and pentagrams and shit. Again, there's no way a school would let us do anything too buck wild. Though I've studied plenty of fucked up rituals in my off time."

Tai shrugs. "It's a bit cartoonish at times, but it's usually in good fun. I think a few people come just to make fun it."

You head to Robotics Club. As usual, Lisa makes no attempt to hide her contempt. When you attempt to leave, Fox and Katie run you down and wait until no one's around.
"Psssst, hey, are you coming to the meeting at the mall tonight?" Katie asks.
"Yeah, everyone's gonna be there. But don't tell anyone, OK?" Fox says. "In case they aren't everyone."

Dewey heads off to the mall to go kill some time by himself. Along the way he remembers one of his favorite science fiction novels for a movie adaptation recently, and decides to go see if it turned out any good.

You go check out the movie adaptation. As always, it would be OK for an original movie but they cut out a bunch of really interesting and important parts of the book for time and to simplify it for more general audiences so what is even the point of adapting the book in the first place...

Everyone
The next day at school, a lot of students are visibly tired from late nights the day before. Even Mattea lets a yawn slip while giving the morning announcements, reminding everyone that on the new schedule today's activities are Soccer, Trivia, Drama, or Wrestling.
