He texts back. "Don't be stupid, Leia. It's not safe for anyone to go alone. I realize it's important that we investigate but I have a... prior engagement. The otherworld can wait. Things aren't that pressing... yet. If you do go:A) there better be someone with you, B) let me know if things go South and I'll try to bail your asses out somehow."
Tai leaves to go hang out with Mattea.

Tai answers, too. "I believe I found a portal at the school based on some pictures this kid took and what Dewey told me. Besides that I haven't spent any time searching. If the world is ending, I huess we should save it, but fuck it if we can't live our damn lives in the meantime, Leia."

You return to school later that night, just before midnight. The school feels so creepy at night. Probably because there's no one else around.
Just at midnight, a golden portal flickers into existence in front of the school's front door.
