Dewey, Karl

Karl proceeds to regale Dewey for hours with inane rambling of the most paranoid variety. By the end, Dewey is thoroughly convinced that Karl must be utterly insane. Karl then proceeds to drag him - literally - to a saccharine mess of a children's movie. It's the most insipid, plot-hole-ridden garbage he's ever seen. But in the end the heroes save the day with the power of friendship or whatever, which Dewey realizes is maybe kind of relevant to things going on now? On deeper reflection, he realizes this entire movie, really, may be a good model, an allegory, for how to deal with the monstrosities of the Otherworld.

Karl, on the other hand, is amused by the flashy colors.

Alex, Sam, Floyd

You all decide to head to the mall for the night for various reasons. And you stumble right into a victory party at the cafe in the mall. A half-dozen students from the school are standing around celebrating. Freya is carry Lance and Zack around on either shoulder while they struggle to keep their balance. Raine and Avel are sitting on the edge of the group, watching the others - they seem to be enjoying themselves, but Raine glances at her phone then excuses herself and leaves the mall. Avalon is chatting with Dean in the corner. That fortune teller, Mareena, has also come down from her perch up on the third floor to join in the festivities.

Lisa and that girl in the hoodie are hanging out in the arcade, locked on a Road Warrior machine and going at it. A small crowd is gathered around to watch their fight, and they're getting a bit excited, cheering for one or the other.

Another small crowd of people are hanging around near the fountain. A trio of security guards are standing around an unclothed mannequin. One guard's scratching his head, while the others are asking around trying to figure out if a store's missing one, or if anyone saw who put that there.
