Tai, Floyd
Floyd stares at death and takes a breath and breathes out a burst of freezing wind. The bear shudders, but it keeps breathing in. Tai aims both his guns and unloads at its mouth, but it keeps breathing in. The zombie-bear slams it with its claws, but it keeps breathing in.
"Ah, fuck." Your new best friend taps a few buttons on their wrist and the shield breaks apart. Smaller metal circles fly off and float in front of both of you and Mareena. Mareena throws her chakrams and the metal disk obediently shifts aside, moving back in front when she catches them.
The bear unleashes a burst of flame breath and sweeps across all of you. The metal plate blocks some of the attack, but the rest slips through. The plates go flying back to reform the robot's shield. They click their tongue, you think - it's badly distorted by their voice changer. "Stupid bear."
Tai and Mareena's keys start to hum quietly, but Floyd's is buzzing loudly and vibrating hard enough he can feel it. The zombie bear bursts into flames and seems to be falling apart. The surviving one stands back up on its hind legs.
"Hey, your key's near its operating limit. Guess you're a Wind guy, huh?"
"Be careful, Cavalry!" Mareena says. "Don't be afraid to use this guy as a meat shield, OK?"
"Yeah, yeah, meat shield, that's me."
"I'm not hearing any complaints, am I... Beta?"
"Me? Complain? Nah."

Tai, Floyd
Tai throws a bunch of dirt at the bear as it starts to charge forward. It knocks Tai aside with its hip, then shoulder-tackles through Beta. It plows straight through the zombie bear, which explodes into a shower of vines and petals. Mareena and Floyd both hop out of the way in opposite directions as the bear shakes its head in annoyance. Tai glows red, then the aura appears around Floyd. Their keys begin to hum at the same volume, still loud enough to be concerning.
"They breathe fire because they're... apex... predators!" Beta yells as they slash the bear. "Most of the things in their natural habitat are weak to fire, so of course the top dogs breathe it!"
"He's right, more or less...!" Mareena says. She starts slashing wildly at the bear's side. Chunks of it go flying off until it collapses in on itself with one last growl.
"Ha... There. Done." Beta flicks the plant juice off the sword, then stuffs it back in the sheathe built into the shield. "Well, that was fun."
Obtained Rose Heart x2!
Obtained Razor Claw x3!
Obtained Thick Vine x3!
You notice Lisa pulling herself out of the water and making her way towards the park entrance. Avalon and Lance remain barricaded in the bathroom.

As you watch, the group of magicians and weird metal beat up the organic flower bears and you briefly wonder how you got here.

Aron stays there clinging to the fence for a moment, completely dumbfounded. He slowly climbs down, dusts himself off and quickly ponders if he should just turn and walk away. Instead, he decides to approach the gang of super-powered teenagers.
"That's a cool set-up, you got there." He comments, whistling as he walks on-scene. "Some kind of ARG or what?" He's not sure if he's giving them an excuse or just crazy.

"Uh-huh." The one in the metallic shell just nods. "That's us. Bunch of crazy LARPers."
"Right! We're all just dressed up as characters from that new show! You probably haven't heard of it. Do you like my costume?" the dancer asks. "How about the special effects? We worked very hard on them. Right, Azzy?"
Floyd scans the river and doesn't see any sign of Linus - though Lisa makes it to the exit and breaks into a run. Floyd looks again and finally sees a hand clinging to the edge of the pier. Looks like Linus is staying down for some reason.

"Cool." Aron replies. "I never been to a school with an occult club before... Is, uh, is that kid at the pier alright?"
Aron looks over Tai's shoulder and jogs past, clapping him on the shoulder as if urging him to follow, straight to the pier.

"Yeah, we'll be here. Just shout if you need us... Partner," Beta says as you leave.
You make your way over to the pier and find Linus hanging on with one hand, struggling to pull himself up. "Hey! Can you give me a hand onto dry land? I'm short one, you see." He nods towards his broken arm.
Floyd
You watch the others go off while Mareena looks around. Avalon pokes her head out of the bathroom stall, looks around, then runs over to her things. Lance follows a moment later, stepping out and looking around in confusion instead of moving.
"Man..." Beta says with quiet annoyance. "Three Rosebears, huh? It's not like Ol' Fionn to let monsters slip out of the portals. Maybe you guys wanna go see what's up? Check on him?"
"Maaaaaybe," Mareena says, arms behind her back, twisting one foot in the dirt. "Maaaaaybe not."
"...Yeah, great. I'd offer to come, but I get the feeling I'm not exactly welcome. So. See ya around, I guess."

No idea who your super-cute friend could possibly be, either..." You didn't know a robotic voice could sound so sarcastic. "As for Fionn, I dunno. He usually keeps to himself but he also keeps his shit together so this is just weird. Worth checking out, I guess. Yeah?"

You drag Linus out of the river. "Soggy, but I'd take being wet over being bear food - plant food...? Plantbear food. Might have to reconsider my fishing spots." Linus drips awkwardly, shaking a bit of water off himself. "...Am I free to go? No need to silence or mind probe me or anything. I'm no snitch."
