Malefio's Thread (NPC)

Pretty much. It looks just like if you took an island and raised it up multiple feet in the air from where it should be. Of course, if you try to jump down in that water, the fall would probably kill you.

You casually make your way over to the docks. Despite the fact the dock edges out toward a horribly high drop, you fearlessly march to the edge of it...and dump the contents of your bag out! The absurd number of knives pour out, falling into the water far below.

"Oh my goodness...!" You turn and notice Amelia standing behind you in shock. "Did you just zrow ze entire supply of knives off ze island!? What if we need to cut somezing!?"

You try to calm her down, explaining that you kept one knife for yourself and that this was a necessary measure to prevent the killing game.

"...Ah, I see. If zat is you're reasoning zen...I suppose I cannot argue wiz you." She turns and looks around the docks. "What do you suppose zis is for...?"

You notice that aside from the actual wooden docks that hang over the edge of the island, there's a small shack. It looks like somewhere you would rent boats at. You head over and check the door inside, but it's locked. At that moment, the service window slides open and...an annoying face pops out.

"Why hello there! Didja miss me?" Nekoshi leans against the window.

"What do you want?" Amelia seems annoyed by his presence.

"Now now, no need to get feisty. We wouldn't want Headmaster Nekoshi to take action, now would we? Nyahaha!"

"Just get to ze point."

"Hmph. Fine then. This place is exactly what it looks like. A dock. Here, a really cool boat will whisk you away to wonderful adventures!"

"What...?"

"Didn't you hear me!? I said that you can purchase boat tickets here to go off to cool places with your friends! Consider it like...a date almost."

Welcome to the Dream Docks! Here, you can spend your hard earned Nekocoins to go on a date with your friends! This should raise your friendship levels with that character and even cause special events sometimes! What's that? You can raise friendship levels by just spending free time with them? Well this is more effective, so shut up! Anyway, some people will like some places more than others, but the real test is in what you choose to do there! Of course, you might bring them somewhere they aren't really into, but if you choose to do the right things, anywhere can become a fun adventure!

"...Anyway, it doesn't look like you have any Nekocoins so...GET LOST!" Nekoshi slams the sliding service window shut.

...And with that, it seems like you're alone again.

Amelia sighs. "I do not know what any of zat was supposed to be, but I suppose I shall continue searching for clues like Vivian said..."

"Hm...? Of course you can come wiz me. Ze only problem is...I'm not entirely sure what I am looking for eizer. I simply know zat we need to find a way out of here. Zere is no way I will participate in zis killing game!"

"I do not...I actually do not know." A look of worry comes across her face. "...It is possible zat zey 'ave kidnapped people we are close to. I..." She becomes silent a moment. "...I do not know if zat is ze case, but...Well, for now, we should probably focus on searching for a way out. Even if zey are in trouble, zere is nozing we can do while we are stuck in 'ere."

You notice Leanne and Aki investigating together as they approach the docks. They try to open the door inside the shack, but it's locked, just like when you tried. Nekoshi doesn't appear this time though. You assume he probably expects you all to share the information he gives you so he doesn't have to explain it multiple times...

Amelia responds. "Well...Vicky mentioned 'er manager and...We do not know what may be 'appening to ze people closest to us at zis moment. If zey could capture us so easily...how can we be sure zat our friends and family are safe?" Amelia looks to the ground. It seems like she's got someone in mind. Someone she wants to protect...

Leanne then calls out to Nekoshi. "Hey, Nekoshi!"

The service window to the shack opens, revealing a grinning Nekoshi. "You called, my darling detective?"

"What happens in the case of accomplices? What if there's two murders? What if someone hides the body indefinitely? What if you trick someone into dealing the final blow?"

Nekoshi's grin is replaced with an angry glare. "Shut up! Stop asking a buncha stupid questions that are totally irrelevant to the situation!" He then switches to a mocking tone. "Besiiiides, I thought you were all gonna make nice and be friends together to get out of here?" He then switches to a loud and accusatory tone. "You sound pretty suspicious right now because of all your questions!" Nekoshi then slams the service window shut.

Leanne sighs. "It seems he dislikes when we call out flaws or mistakes in his rules..."

"So... That teddy thing said we needed Neko coins...

We might want to start to look for those...

I'd like to look for clues to get off the island, but honestly, it feels foolproof.

We're not gonna find a plane.

Also, this bear can just appear wherever he wants. A floating island isn't subtle either.

I'm just saying that if we're in real life and not in a nightmare, there's clearly supernatural forces in play here.

If help was coming, we'd already be saved."

Leanne turns to you all. "Well then. I suggest we go check out the garden with what time we have left."

Nobody objects and you all head off, entering the garden through a flower archway. It's actually pretty beautiful. Full grown trees are scattered throughout, giving it an almost forest feel. There's even a large waterfall that creates a little pond and pours down into a river through the island. Small stones sit along the pathway and you notice that for some reason, the path leads to a huge tree at the center of the garden.

Sato, who you find sitting under a tree, looks over at you. "Welcome to my home! I'm going to live here for the whole time..." He flops back down as if to start taking a nap when you hear a familiar voice from behind.

"There you all are." It's Claus. "Come with me back to the dining hall. It's nearly time for everyone to discuss what they found."
