Claus turns to see you. "Oh? Yes, I suppose it would be nice to have someone to help. Especially with washing this knife so many times." He holds a single kitchen knife in his hand. "Vicky threw every other knife off the island and now we only have the one. A safety precaution, I suppose. Although it does make cooking rather inconvenient." He hands it to you. "It would actually help me quite a bit if you could just wash this knife every time I hand it to you."

"Neither can I," Sam admits. "I guess I can't see a problem with it, but I have a sort of... vague feeling it'll bite us in the butt eventually. But I have that same feeling about pretty much everything in this place. Like, I'm just waiting for that cat to show up and wreck the party or something..."
He waits to clean the knife more.

Claus hands the knife back over to you. "Hm. Yes. That Nekoshi certainly is a nuisance. You would think he would stop something everyone was actually enjoying."

"Maybe... he's enjoying it, too? Ah!" Sam exclaims while he's washing the knife. "Hey, isn't there something about... y'know, if you're taken hostage, you're supposed to try to, uh, humanize yourself to the kidnapper? Get their sympathy or something? Maybe we can, I dunno, get him on our side somehow?"
He hands the knife back to Claus.

Claus gives you an odd look while continuing to work. It's pretty amazing. He can cut vegetables perfectly without even looking at them. "Isn't he a machine? And even if he wasn't, I'm fairly certain whoever put us here is some form of psychopath."

The two of you walk out of the kitchen together as the lights go out and spotlights begin to shine all throughout the room.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Vicky Van Houttun's very own private show for all of you!" Flashy lights and music play as Vicky performs a dance on the stage. It's actually quite impressive.
