"The- Oh..." Laura says. "You know. So that was... you guys last night. Or, um... Which ones of you guys?"
"Me, Levi, and Morgan," Tia volunteers. "Alice is kind of... I dunno. She helped smuggle me into this world and get me enrolled in school. Um... but Mercia kinda figured out who I was really fast. So I don't... think we need to worry about her coming after Laura anytime soon?"
"Sorry, smuggle you into this world?" Laura asks.
"Lamia."
Grant steps forward and waves. "Phenandran."
"...Hi," Laura says.
Alice wheels herself forward. "No one told me about... Sorry, who are you?"
"The earth guardian."
"Ugh." Alice clutches her head. "Alright. Look. I'm going... to get started getting you enrolled in school. I'll need Mattea's help. Levi, keep... I need you to keep keeping him for a while." She starts to leave. "We can discuss this more later. I'm just too tired to be mad right now. I need you two to get everyone together. All the ones that know about the Otherworld. Tell them we're having a meeting Saturday night to catch people up."
Alice leaves.
Tia pulls the Fire Soul from her chest and offers it to Laura. Laura takes it gingerly, staring at it with a sad expression. "So... this means you really killed my father, then...?" She looks from Tia to Levi to Morgan.

"...Um. I didn't..." He's unable to look at Laura directly and breathes kind of weird. "I-I didn't mean to...I just...I wanted t-to h-help...and I t-tried talking..." Tears start to form in Levi's eyes. "I...I'm s-sorry..." He shrinks away a bit, almost as if expecting Laura to hit him.

Levi, a little surprised at the response, does his best to recover and dry his tears. "He...seemed almost satisfied in a weird way. It was kind of sad. He said that the strongest should thrive and that this is the way it should be..." He pauses. "...Thinking back on it...Maybe he knew it was going to happen. He seemed so accepting of it. He never even flinched."

He did say something about you before he died. He wanted you to be strong. But what Levi said was true though. We just wanted to talk and hope he was willing to help us.
Yet things got so out of control so fast. Laura please forgive me I have a piece of shit dad to. He basically kicked me out of the house for being different. Yet he was your dad and I am so sorry.

"Um... Can we be alone together for a while...?" Tia asks.
Laura looks at her for a minute, then shrugs. "OK."
You go with Alice and help her from her wheelchair back into her bed. She leans on you for a lot of support. "Owowowow..." When you get her situated, she grunts. "Thanks. Look, now that I've calmed down a bit, I want to hear your side of the story before I make any more assumptions. But... not today, OK? Getting Grant taken care of is the bigger concern right now." She makes a face like she finds the prospect... unpleasant.

I already put a backdoor in the school computer systems to let me... uh, actually, you really don't need to hear about all that." She lets out a particularly heavy sigh. "I didn't need to worry about all that when I was... Nevermind. Today's not the time to talk about that stuff."
