You continue to sit there crying while Alice keeps looking at you like she wants to say something but doesn't know how to handle this situation.
A knock on the door breaks up the awkwardness. Alice's mom lets herself in without waiting for an answer. "Hey, honey, how are you feeling to- oh. Hello, dear. I heard about your little friend. I'm so sorry. Are you doing OK?"

Sometimes you just have to let yourself be sad for a while and do what you can," Marin tells you. Then her voice gets a bit more stern. "But if you don't start to get over it, eventually you have to make yourself shake it off or you get stuck in a cycle where you can't do anything. Understand?"

Alice looks like she might actually be a bit jealous... It's a weird look for her.
Eventually visiting hours are over, and you're sent home for the day. Marin, as her mom, gets to stay. But she does offer to send you home in a cab. One way or another, you get home to find Grant has returned to do battle with the cats again, including a few more you don't recognize.

Dewey, Karl, Arcadia, Levi, Leia (but not really), Tai
You all sneak over to the Hospital, ready for Alice's midnight meeting. And then you realize you aren't entirely sure where to meet. The lobby and main waiting room seems like a good place to start looking, so you head in. You find it a bit crowded already.
Buttons is lurking in a shadowy corner in the waiting room. Fox and Katie are staring at the hospital map on the wall. Tom is laid back in a chair, casually flipping through one of the magazines spread around. Grant and Tia are sitting beside each other and seem to be having an exceptionally awkward conversation. Somnis is standing near the elevators, pacing to and fro nervously. She keeps glancing at a clock on the wall. And Mattea is standing at the receptionist's desk. The two seem to be having an argument about visiting hours and whether this big group can go up to see Alice in the first place.
The meeting was supposed to begin at midnight. Knowing Alice, she'll probably barge in here at 12:01 demanding to know why you aren't all up in her room or something. You've got just a brief few minutes to check in with people before it's time.

He heads up to the people making awkward conversation.
"Do you know why we were chosen to come here? Seems pretty strange."

Dewey looks around the room. There's a lot more people here than he was expecting, and as a result he's already attempting to blend into the crowd as if he wasn't here at all.

"Uh... Who are you?" the guy asks.
Tia's tongue flicks out and her head tilts slightly as she considers you for a moment. "Oh, I remember you! You're the one who got so scared he threw up on Kiran or whatever! We're here to talk about that. Y'know. That."
Dewey
Dewey blends into the crowd. A few people glance at him, but no one voluntarily walks over to speak with him.
