You can request skills whenever you want for him.
10 SE per normal enemy.

Any suggestions on how many enemies per room at this point? I don't want to go overboard. since your dungeon is shorter, you can go a little heavier on momsters without it being too overboard. I suggest about four enemies per room. Five if you're feeling particularly nefarious. |

You send Garp out to attack Canvas, but as he appeared and began to wreak havoc, the town leader, Xylvius, cut him down with his massive blade and powerful fire magic! Garp managed to gather 130 SE before returning to the mansion, however!

Four foolish adventurers have entered your mansion! You feel yourself getting stronger as 450 SE is added to your stores.
You can choose to either control your monsters or have them auto fight. You can also ask to have the monsters specifically auto fight until the adventurers reach the boss so you can handle the boss fight.

You can auto the first room. It's just floating eyes. I'll control the other rooms though.
