Victoria - 3:00 PM
It takes you a little while until you finally arrive at the Adventurer District. There's all kinds of weapons, armor, and items being sold all over the place. There's even a shop that teaches magic spells. You notice that most of the adventurers don't seem to be here right now...
Oh, they're probably out adventuring right now. That would make sense. The only one you notice that looks pretty adventure-y is a girl with strange markings on her skin that glow. She's dressed like a witch and has long, black hair. "Ummm...Let's see...A new staff or a new spell? Staff? Spell? Staff? Spell?" She looks back and forth between the weapon shop and the magic shop, spinning in circles until she gets dizzy and falls over. "It's no use...I'll never figure it out like this..."
While you stand there, a little, white cat wanders past you. It seems as if it doesn't notice you at first until it turns around and looks at you before continuing along on its way. It walks over to a barrel sitting outside a tavern nearby and jumps up on top, curling into a ball.

Victoria approaches the girl with dramatic, sweeping gestures. "GREETINGS, young adventurer. My name is Victoria, and we shall now engage in mutual advisement! Obviously, you wish to purchase a bow! As a back-up weapon, you ask!? Perish the thought! From this day forward, you shall become a master archer! You will use your witchiness and archerdom to develop a novel combat style all your own! Yes...! Henceforth, you shall become an arcane archer! Ah, what glorious fate it was that brought you here today!"

Victoria reaches down to pull her up. "I just told you. I am Victoria, the genius who has given you your new route in life! You may lavish me in praise and/or admiration. Or, more practically, answer a few short questions. All of the above is also acceptable."

"Absolutely not! As the only adventurer here, you're a valuable source of information. I'll leave if you answer my questions, though. First question: when do most adventurers leave in the morning? Second, what sorts of things do you lot often forget that you would want to be able to buy in the outskirts instead of coming all the way back here?" Victoria asks.

The witch tries to straighten out her outfit and dust herself off as she answers your first question. "Okay, so...usually we head out at around 10:00 or 11:00 AM. Pretty much everyone does their shopping early in the morning before heading out. Then we don't usually get back until around 6:00 PM unless we had a really easy quest. Sometimes people like to shop or relax after a long day of work like that." She then thinks for a bit on the last one, looking up at the sky. "Hum...Well usually really basic stuff. Healing potions are important, but everyone needs items that can teleport them out of dungeons. Those are super important and easy to forget. Sometimes I forget them..." She sighs. "Beowulf is particularly careful about always buying that stuff. He'd definitely buy those things in the outskirts AND in town."
She then realizes you're standing in front of her. "Hey, why do you want to know this stuff anyway?"

"Because I opened an archery shop in the outskirts and I'd like to also stock things adventurers might have forgotten on their way out of town to save them the trip back," Victoria explains as if it were obvious.
Victoria scribbles some notes in her ledger as she speaks. 'Teleport things? Potions? Like to relax on the way back? Add a lounge w/ snacks? Bathroom? Magical Staff + Bowstring = Cool? Mini-staffs -> Enchanted arrows?'
As she dots the question mark with a mighty poink, Victoria grins widely. "Excellent, Miss Beowulf, excellent! Such fine data you've given me. If you ever decide to walk the path of archery, come to my hunting lodge. I may even give you a discount."

"Wha-Hey! I'm not Beowulf! The big knight with a stick up his butt is! You can call me Punkelle, Master Necromancer!" She does a little pose as she says this. "...Or that's what I hope to be one day. So far I kind of suck..."

You head outside and find that there's pretty much nobody here at the moment aside from a woman down the street at a rival blacksmith. She's an elf with golden hair and a massive hammer. She seems to be cleaning the place up a bit, sweeping around with a broom.
Other than that, there's a white cat sleeping on a barrel outside the adventurer tavern.

"I can't speak for your magic or your skills as an adventurer, but your DRAMATIC POSING!" Victoria strikes a pose with a sharp lean back "-leaves much to be desired! Those glowing runes on your skin are cool! Express them to their fullest!"

"Huh...uh...you really think so? Thanks, I guess. So you have a shop on the outskirts...I'll try to remember that." She looks back up. "I think I'll go with...a new spell." She then heads off into the magic shop.
Markail - 12:00 PM
You enter the tavern, finding a woman inside, cleaning up after this morning's adventurer rush. She's tall and slightly intimidating. She wears red armor that matches her hair and eyes. "Well, well, what have we here? It's not often I see a new face! Welcome to the Crimson Traveler! I'm still cleaning up a bit, but make yourself at home. If you're feeling hungry, you can order something and although it's a bit early to start drinking, I won't tell anyone." She gives a hearty laugh.
The cat that was outside seems to have followed you and perches itself on the counter. You take a look around the mostly empty tavern, noticing vacant tables everywhere. There's some kind of quest board in the back as well.

Go into... 3 of the item shops and ask for prices for basic healing potions and teleport whatever-they-ares. Also whetstones, trail rations, canteens, and rope.
