As you stand and begin to shout, a nearby pile of garbage begins to shift slightly. Moving out from within at a zombie-like pace is some sort of humanoid monster. It looks almost like a person, but partially melted and...covered in this filthy, green ooze.



As it inches closer to you, you notice the creature burning away the very ground it stands on. That...that ooze is acid! It it touches you, you'll be burned to death! It makes unintelligible, garbling noises as it gets closer to you.

"Be careful, Master! This demon could kill you with a simple touch and won't be easy to negotiate with. You can likely outrun it without much difficulty!"

You glance around, noticing that there's a path to the left and a path to the right, away from the demon you could take.

You quickly run from the slime monster, charging down the right path and getting some distance between the two of you pretty easily. As you do so, you notice another one of the slime creatures close by, just up ahead. This one doesn't seem to notice your presence right away. It's facing away from the path, consuming garbage.

You could try to sneak past it...but that might slow you down a lot. And that other slime is probably still following from behind. The only other way seems to be on a garbage conveyor belt, likely headed to the incinerator.

"Your data has been saved."

You charge at the slime monster, trying to jump over it and underestimating it. You trip over the creature, burning your foot badly on the quick acting acid. You quickly take your affected shoe off, trying to save as much of your foot as you can. "Loading..."

The creature moves toward you, jumping at you, but just as the stinging acid begins to touch your body, a bright light surrounds the area.

...

"Your data has been loaded." You find yourself only moments before trying to jump over the slime zombie.

You change tactics, shuffling against the wall before continuing to run along. You soon come across another fork in the road. Left or right...? Left looks like it's going to take you back to where you were, but the right seems like it goes to the incinerator. You're not certain the incinerator is the way out of here. In fact, that seems further in. But at the same time, there are Slime monsters the other way...

"Master, I'm sensing a high concentration of demons in your area. While there are more to the left, there is a much more powerful source to the right. Please advance with caution."

You run to the right, finding yourself within a large, open space. The incinerator is here, but...something's off about this. The garbage is pouring into the incinerator...and coming out of the other side in a golden liquid! It pours into metal molds, making gold bars! You notice a man with bull features and griffon wings sprouting out of his back standing over the gold bars with a sinister grin. He's almost like a winged minotaur. A golden crown sits on his head. "Yes...this should be enough for those mortals. They'll do anything for gold...Anything for power..."

The creature turns to look at you. "Who dares to interrupt my alchemy!? A mere human!? Explain yourself...or perhaps you'd like to see what my alchemy can turn you into!" He raises one hand in the air as the gold bars he already created, sitting in a pile, converge together, melting in his palm and stretching out into a massive pitchfork.



Auri warns you. "Master, this demon is named Zagan. He is capable of controlling metals with his alchemy. Be careful! Finding a way around this won't be easy..."

You turn around and immediately book it for the exit! The demon, however, swipes his hand across, causing the garbage to melt together and forge into a metal wall, blocking your path. "You're not going to get away from me that easily!"

"Your data has been saved." Auri informs you that someone has just used the Save function. It looks like you're stuck here...
