This is it for me. I am "leaving" Vitcon. What I mean by this is that I'm dropping out of every game. Every single one of them. I am not deleting my account, but don't expect much activity from me.
---Why is this happening?---
I don't have time to give to Vitcon anymore. And I chose those words carefully.
It's not that I can't come on Vitcon anymore, I actually don't want to. Now, some of you might think this is harsh, others might take it personal, but there's no actual cause coming from Vitcon itself.
There's just so many things I want to do during my free time and the fact is that I don't use this free time enough to get time for myself. Therefore, my backlog of stuff I want to do gets bigger and bigger and I never see the end of it. Therefore, to do what I want to do, I always have to cut somewhere.
That's been true for years, but I've always thought to myself that I would never cut into Vitcon, but we're a community and that would affect more people than me.
But eventually, that caused Vitcon to become an obligation and therefore a chore. And that's where I draw the line. It stopped being a hobby, hence why I don't have any will to come here anymore.
I just want you all to know that none of you are to blame. I just don't have enough time for myself and there's unfortunately not a single slice of me that wants to spend that time on Vitcon anymore.
---What happens to my current characters?---
I allow every GM to do whatever they want with them. I'd prefer if they died/disappeared than if they're turned into NPCs, but you can do whatever you want. IF I'm ever making a comeback, it's not anytime soon.
---Thanks---
I want to thank all of you for the experiences you gave me on this website. I enjoyed every single bit of Vitcon's history I participated in. Vitcon will always be a positive memory and that's because of all of you. Thank you and I'm very sorry my life choices led to this.
See you around in the Social Thread.
