Tai becomes more alert. "Fucking fine. Let's beat the shit out of this thing and if we can't we'll get the hell away."
Tai decides to try and use Dark Lasso onthe monster, staying at a decent distance away.

~? Battle: Trace~
As Tai and Buttons get ready to fight, the creature crouches and leaps with stunning speed. It drops down and stabs at Tai with the needle arm. He jumps out of the way as fast as he can, but it still scrapes his leg. A burning pain shoots up from the wound. In the back of his mind, Tai realizes this is the most pain he's felt from an attack in the Otherworld. He scrambles back, slinging a rope lasso from one of his guns. It wraps around the creature's legs, holding it in place.
Buttons holds up his lantern and a spirit comes floating out. It drifts over to Tai and passes into his chest. Tai can feel his injury heal... some. He also feels re-invigorated. Faster, stronger. Ready to go.
"Tai! ...Nevermind, focus on taking it down!" Buttons yells.

While Leia is still pummeling the ground, she answers Kiran even though she knows he was joking.
"I... Uhm... I like drawing and helping people. I guess I'm boring...
Well, this is going nowhere... Do we take one of these two paths or should we trail back?"

Tai opens fire on the thing with electrified bullets. The creature doesn't respond to the attack, continuing to move as if nothing is wrong. Buttons leaps into the air and drops down, slamming the monster with his shovel. The blow bounces off, and Buttons shudders. "Tch! It's like hitting a rock!"
The creature raises its needle arm and jabs it into Tai's lasso. The rope disintegrates immediately. Tai feels a yanking on his arm, as if he's being sucked towards the monster for a moment. It resumes scuttling towards you and Buttons.
Leia
"Let's go... left!" Kiran yells. And with that, he's gone.
You follow along after him and find another similar chamber. This one has no pond, exits in all four directions, and a singe tall tree in the center.
"Hmmm..." Kiran's looking around. "Which way now? I think the portal would be... left?"

Tai backs up a bit and takes a defensive stance. He fires off Hell's Breeze.

"I know, dammit!" Buttons yells back. "How's this!?" Buttons opens his lantern and a spirit darts out. It crashes into the monster with a burst of light and electricity. The creature keeps walking forward.
You try next. You shoot a gust of flames at the monster. It marches through them, holding up that needle arm and absorbing the attack as it goes. It pauses for a second, and you think you might have stunned it.
It immediately reaches out, plucks one of the monochrome stones from the wall, and beans you in the head with it. It bounces off with a loud ping. You feel your head ringing from the blow. It takes the chance to close the distance even more.
"Tai!" Buttons yells. "I think we might be in trouble here! Maybe we should pull back and regroup with the others?"
You notice the other two of these things don't even seem to acknowledge you as a threat, as they continue to suck the color from those rocks.
Leia
"You sure? I thought you didn't like being touched?" Kiran crouches down and cups his hands to give you a boost. "Eh, whatever. Hop on."
You climb up onto Kiran's back and try to shimmy up the tree, but find it's shockingly slick. You manage to get up high and long enough to catch a glimpse of the surroundings. Ahead of where you came in is the same stark white, but you see a dot of something yellow, as well. The right path seems to have some kind of cliff or mountain or something like that.

Leia ignores Kiran's comment.
"Oh... OH! I see some colors! There's something yellow in the direction of... where we came from?
Wait... There wasn't anything Yellow...
Were we followed?
I'm coming down... We need to investigate.
Catch me if I fall."
She smirks sarcastically at him.
"Maybe I'll call you my white knight after that."
Leia will lead the way towards the yellow thing.

You proceed along the path straight ahead of where you came in. You reach the next clearing and find that it splits into two paths, in a roughly Y-shape. You could go left or right... or back.
In this clearing, you find several black-and-white flowers. In the middle is a huge, golden butterfly. It's easily three times your size. The creature is resting on the flowers, slowly flapping its wings. You hear a faint voice. "Back... Give it back... Give it back... Give it back..."
You then hear another voice. This one, a bit more familiar. It's Buttons. "LEIA! KIRAN! GET OVER HERE!" You think it's coming from back where you were just a minute ago.
Tai
You retreat from the monster, heading back through the cave. The monster continues to follow you at a slow but steady pace. You outrun it easily. You follow the path back, and find yourselves back at room with the tree.
You can hear the monster still following along after you.
"Ah, crap..." Buttons says. "LEIA! KIRAN! GET OVER HERE!" He turns back to you. "Do we run or fight, Tai!?"
While you have a second to breathe, you remember you got a text message that started all this. You give it a quick peek. Like Buttons said of his, it's from Natsumi. "Hey! ^.^ How's the group study session going?"

Leia leans close to the ground, talking to the butterlfy, approaching it as peacefully as possible.
"Bu... But we too nothing... I... I don't understand... Can... Can we help?"
She then hears Buttons screaming.
"That sounds serious Kiran... This place is too weird though... Do you have anything to mark our path to come back to this butterfly?"

Fuck Tai thinks to himself. He wasn't sure exactly what to do. So much for being a leader. He needed a plan...
"Keep running! Once we're a bit closer to the portal, we'll try one last stand. If it doesn't work then a full retreat!"

Kiran ignores the yelling and copies you, crawling over to the giant butterfly. "Tell me your secrets, Butterfly," he says. "What was taken from you? Who took it? How can we return it?"
The butterfly's response is to float up into the air and start flapping its wings forcefully. "GIVE! IT! BACK!" Some kind of glittering scales begin flying off the butterfly's wings. As they wash over you, you begin to feel sick. Your vision starts to swim as everything seems to be moving back and forth. You feel dizzy, not sure which way is up. Your muscles feel stiff and sluggish. And you think you may have been poisoned.
Also you've received another text message, but this really isn't the time...
LEIA AND KIRAN
VS
MR. BUTTERFLY
~Mr. Butterfly Battle: Rosalia's Petals~
Tai
You proceed to retreat further towards the portal. You notice Buttons whip out his phone while he runs. "I'm messaging those two idiots to get back to the portal as quick as they can! And I'm letting Natty know what's up, just in case!"
You make it back to the portal. You can still hear that thing coming along after you, but it seems you've put a healthy amount of distance between yourselves and that needle for now. You have a chance to catch your breath.
Your phone rings with another message. "Yo you still alive? Or do I need to come drag your stupid ass out?"
Yeah, it's from Mattea.
"Wait is something wrong?" she asks almost immediately after.

Leia refuses to attack the Butterfly for now, so she'll use Alien Abduction on Kiran.
She'll slowly back away, making her bat disappear, walking slowly backwards with her hands up in the air.
