I'm still positive that your biggest issue is rolling. Rolling is a tool, but it's easily misused. You can't keep rolling to the edges of the stage and spam projectiles either, if I was playing my mains I would have easily punished that. I also noticed that a lot of the time when you're above the stage, you'll try to use your recovery to get back on the stage or to buy yourself more air time. This can rarely be good for a mix up, but you did this nearly every time. I really don't encourage using your recovery like that.
While this idea of a King of the Hill with characters is nice, when I say that you need to know your characters and the opponents' characters, it doesn't necessarily require you to go in-depth with each character. People at a higher competitive Smash level will definitely do this, but I don't really see the need when at a more casual level. I recommend just having a basic idea of what each character can do, what you know that person will want to do with that character (combos, strategies, etc.), and know how to counter that with your own character. For now, that's really all you need.
