Between Rover, Aiden, and Zen, you manage to trade enough goods to equal the value of the feather.
"A fair trade. Here you are. Be sure to use it when you're in danger. Or when you can't find another way out of here..." He grins. "I'll be seeing you."
Afterward, the general consensus is to go to the room with the treasure chest on it. As you backtrack through the hall to the split, you notice the blue woman follows you. She is silent as you make your way through.
Eventually, you make your way to the original path split and head down the hall with the treasure chest icon.
Dea keeps her skeleton at the front so any traps will be triggered by it instead of one of you. Once you reach what seems to be an actual room instead of a hallway, you notice that your standing in a room filled with treasure. Piles of gold coins sit around the area along with gems. There are three large chests here as well.
The blue woman's eyes widen and she speaks what you can only assume are exclamations of excitement. Seems you've stumbled into a type of vault.

Una puts herrr goggles on and off, it seems like the giant mantis is almost salivating. She quickly gets back to her sense however.
"No... This is too easy... Therrre's 2 possibilities. Eitherrr this is one huge trrap or all this gold is currrsed...
I could go to the chests one by one and disarrrm trrraps if they are trrraps, but I'll be honest, ah don't even darrre walking up to them."

Zen grins and chuckles "Finally!... Something interesting!" Their demeanor went back to their old self.
Aiden draws his sword so he feels safer "I feel the same way, this is all too easy just to have this gold sitting here unguarded like this. I don't want to push my luck with going up to any of it." He says worriedly.
"So, should we throw the skeleton or one of my daggers to test this theory if it is trapped?" Zen asks the group. Aiden looks at Zen confused. "Or I could merely just grab one, you know I can."

How wide are the hallways we have been walking through? Wide enough for about two of you to stand next to each other. About three or five feet. |

You watch as the skeleton waddles toward the gold coins. It lacks arms, so it can't quite gather coins with them. Instead, the skeleton bends down and scoops up coins in its mouth. You see it clack with joy. The skeleton made it! He turns back to you and starts clacking toward the party, unaware of the horrifying danger behind it.
CRUNCH.
The skeleton's bones are snapped to pieces as one of the chests open up and snap a maw of sharp teeth onto it. A massive eye opens up on the chest and looks around at you all. It licks its teeth with a long, slimey tongue. The other two chests open up in a similar fashion, snapping their maws. You watch as the piles of gold start to melt away into puddles of golden slime. They converge together into a massive blob. Inside, you can see the remains of what poor adventurers came before you, dissolving inside the acidic slime.
The monsters start to advance toward you. Luckily, your assailants seem a bit slow. Two of the mimics bounce in your direction while the other one wiggles its tongue at you. The golden slime slowly advances in your direction...

Taking aim he shoots at one of the mimics while attempting to light the projectile as he shoots it. (Plants vs. Zombies style)

Dea raises her sword and turns her attention toward the other mimic, grinning. "You ate my friend. That wasn't very nice." She swings her blade at the creature.

He looks to Arthur, and says "I don't think anyone wants to loose their weapon to an acid slime." As he looks over to Zen, who already seems to be one step ahead of him.
He looks towards the mimics approaching the group, his sword ready to cut through any that come near.

Zen looks excited, but they have a murderous intent behind their eye. It looks like Zen does some weird motion with his hands towards the acid slime, as if trying to attach an invisible string around it, and tried to fling it against the wall.

"Well, let's use this acidic slime at ourrr advantage..."
Una will try to stay as far away from any enemy as possible, swinging her rope to roll it around the wiggling tongue of the unmoving mimic to swing it into the acid slime.

Zen wastes no time at all, excited to show off his abilities. With a flick of his wrist, a pink, sticky substance appears, attaching itself to the back of the slime. It then shoots backward, into the wall. You all watch as for a short moment the slime and the sticky magic pull on one another. The slime shlorps before you hear a loud pop. The entire golden slime flings backward, into the wall behind it. While it's stuck for now, you can hear sizzling as it slowly starts to melt away the sticky magic on it.
Rover prepares his arm cannon, firing over the lit flame of the torch so his massive pea catches on fire. When his attack hits the dry wood of one of the approaching mimics, it catches on fire and starts to burn. The creature lets out a horrible shriek as it burns away, into a pile of ash.
The other approaching mimic is stopped by Aiden and Dea as the two stand there, batting at it with their swords. The blades seem relatively ineffective on their hard exteriors. The mimic screeches at them, opening its mouth before lunging. Aiden manages to stick his blade inside the mimic's mouth vertically, to keep it from snapping shut. Both he and Dea narrowly escape the mimic's maw as it snaps closed onto Aiden's sword.
CRACK
The metal is sent flying into shards.
Meanwhile, Una takes the rope out of her inventory and lassos the mimic that's swinging its tongue around. She pulls with all of her strength and swings it around, throwing the mimic into the slime stuck on the wall. Its eye bulges as it struggles around inside of the slime, melting away in the acid. The part of Una's rope tied around the mimic melts away, leaving her with only about 20ft instead of the original 30ft.
The remaining mimic lets out another angry shriek as it opens its mouth. Its tongue shoots out and wraps itself around Dea's leg, tripping her and slowly pulling her closer to its mouth as she struggles.
The golden slime seems to be bobbing up and down as it consumes the mimic inside of it and melts away the sticky magic.
