Vitch pays him, but Tom Nook looks at the tablet and instantly declines the payment. "Err... Vitch, there seems to be an issue... Whatever currency you're using, it doesn't seem to be accepted here, or even be convertible to the currency we use, Bells..." |

When I moved into my first town, I only had a thousand Bells on me and the clothes on my back. So, here's what we're gonna do. We'll need you to earn the Bells. You can pay Nook the thousand right now, or you can keep it for now. No problem. So, in order for you to earn some Bells, you're probably gonna need tools, right? And you, Vitch, looks like you're gonna have to work for your living here. Sorry..." Richard pulls out a bunch of tools out of his pockets. "Since you and Vitch are just starting out, and we don't have a shop open yet, I'll provide your guys's first tool. You can both take one of my tools. Either an Axe, a Shovel, a Fishing Rod, or a Net. You could both take the same tool, or you could take different tools. I'd prefer if you both took different tools though, so you're not stepping on each other's toes." |

At night, he'll go to the City to sell it for you, and you can pick up the Bells in the morning at his place. ALSO, it's REALLY important to me that you both get your houses paid for, because the Council of whatever won't let me build or practically do anything without approving me, and they won't approve me quickly if some of my residents don't even have houses... So, do it for me at least. And I guess that's everything. Well, I guess we'll be on our way.
