Who? All I see is Awkward standing alone.
Anyway, I think your gameplay is very smooth and I've barely done anything yet. I do think your start of the story was kind of overused though. You wake up somewhere with amnesia. Yawn. Is that why you never asked for backstory? I'm willing to overlook the lame start of the story if it gets better later though. I like how you took my THROW THEM TO THE WOLVES suggestion though. Overall, it's a pretty decent start. I like it so far.

Part of the new signups is going to be asking for backstory. I was really kicking myself for the "waking up nowhere" part, but I really couldn't make up anything that would allow for an immediate battle. And the characters technically don't have amnesia, they just don't remember why they're in the forest. I've got ideas that I think aren't terrible for the story coming up, though.
Also, I thought the gameplay would have been even worse than the story...

When I'm attacked and it isn't my turn there's a chance I might paralyze the opponent so their attack is canceled.

Does the paralyze only last for their skirmish or for the entire phase?

It stuns them for that turn. It basically ends their turn early if they attack you and it activates.
