Kress decides to enter the mess hall.
Inside, it's a surprisingly roomy tent... Almost like a real mess hall, but portable and in a tent. Huh.
There's mainly two large tables with many chairs scattered about. At one, a young woman with long green hair can be seen sitting, reading a book intently.
Along the tent's side, two young men can be seen conversing. Both of the men look almost identical with their well-kept brown hair, although one wears green armor and the other wears red armor, as well as bearing a bold mustache.
Tarot and Haggar pass Kress while carrying the crates of food, then start unpacking and cooking behind a counter. As they do so, the twins start talking to them from across the counter.
In the corner, Kress just now sees a young man in standard soldier armor, standing vigilantly while apparently wanting to remain unseen.

Kress stares at the soldier for a few seconds before taking a seat at the closest table and waiting as he thinks to himself.

Kress seats himself as he gathers his thoughts. No one really seems to greet him or otherwise notice him yet...
Tarot leaves the counter and starts to walk out the entrance, but then faces Kress.
"Supper's almost done, Kress. I'm getting Ray.
...Make yourself comfortable, Kress. No one's gonna bite, except maybe you!
...That was a little Laguz humor...
...I'll go get Ray..."
Tarot leaves.

Kress feels slightly less comfortable and just sits at the table quietly, hoping to get by without any more interaction.

Tarot comes back with Ray. Ray just kinda seats himself somewhere...
"Dinnertime, my friends!" The booming voice of Haggar can be heard.
Everyone except Kress and Ray heads to the counter and gets their food. Tarot brings a plate of food and glasses of water to Kress and Ray.
"We get all kinds of companions in our travels, so we've learned to just respect others' personal space. Well, except Haggar. If you guys don't want to speak with us, I guess that'll work too."
The food seems... Relatively high-quality. A nice variety of meat and vegetables.

Kress quickly wolfs down the meat, but pauses once he finishes it, staring at the vegetables before glancing at Ray. He pushes his plate with only vegetables left to him. "...You take it. I'm done eating." Kress then stands up and walks off to sleep outside.

Ray looks at kress as he is leaving "Oh yea..thats right laguz dont eat vegetables" Ray keeps eating

Everyone eats their meals. The members of Future Past sit and eat together while Ray and Tom eat alone. When everyone's done, they all bring their plates to the counter as Tarot starts packing up the kitchen.
"Good night, everyone."
"Night!"
"Rest easy, my friends!"
"Next stop, Melior!"
"Easy there, Milo. We haven't even slept yet."
"..."
Tarot notices Ray, then stops and walks over.
"Oh, Ray. We have a guest tent ready for you. I guess Kress would rather sleep somewhere else, then... Anyways, let me show you the way."
Tarot leads Ray to his tent.
Inside is a nice, quaint bed.
"It's simple, but good enough for a night's rest. We'll head to Melior in the morning. Rest easy, now."

Everyone in the group goes to bed (Or whatever patch of dirt Kress is sleeping on).
Early next morning...
"Everyone up! We move in half an hour!"
Ray gets out of the tent. He can already see the mercenaries packing up their tents and storing them in wagons. Tarot notices Ray and moves over to him.
"Good morning, Ray. I hope you slept well. Get ready to depart for Melior soon. Hopefully, Haggar's yelling awoke Kress..."
Tarot walks back over to the others.
