Erf, I looked back at Pikmin Wars and there's not much Houbba Hubba can do, he didn't have much equipment at the time I stopped playing...
One of my ongoing projects was researching a confusion dance, is it allowed as one of his powers?

Never mind, that was just an idea, I didn't even start the project...
Well, Houbba Hubba will ask Gorewood to throw him above the Bogmires so he can rain spears on them. We may find the real one this way.

I think the group you picked can't fight Bogmire. You can't touch him with physically present objects and there's only one way to know which is real and I doubt you have access to it.

Bio Spark will approach any Bogmire and attack with his knife, then slash upwards while sending out a Quad Shock wave from the attack.

Heart wood units never had seeking root attacks... though gorewood is much larger than the rest... he could probably use one of the iron fence posts, or one of houbba hubbas spears to lob one of the shadow copies at it pinning it in place. Then bio spark could wail on it.
