An old temple in the mountains is found before you. Though you can tell this is centuries old, it is well kept. Two guards stand at the entrance and bow to you as you approach. One of them advances, keeping their eyes locked on you as the other keeps guard. "Are you the new trainees? The dragon priestess told us of your arrival. According to these papers, you fit quite well with this description. I'd like you to tell me your names first and your purpose of coming here."

"While that may be true, I must tell you not to take your entry into this guild lightly. It will be a difficult journey through your training. You may enter." The guards hold their spears at their sides, allowing TGC to enter. He walks through the beautiful ancient ruins. The entrance has an amazing fountain and a grand staircase leading upwards to the next room that TGC obviously heads up. At the top of the stairs there are three doors, one to the left, to the center, and to the right. He's directed to go to the left by the guard. Upon entering this room, TGC is amazed by all the strange things around. There's a strange, glowing stone alter, a glowing, large music note floating in the center, and a woman standing by the large music note. She greets you with a bow.
"I am going to be your teacher in the ancient arts of the Ancient Warriors. You will go through difficult training and challenges, but first before we do anything, you will need a Note Beast. Go to the glowing alter and awaken one with the use of your Note and an instrument." The woman hands TGC a Flute.
(When awakening a monster, you simply need to have a Note and your instrument. Then just play a song by posting. Simple as that.)

TGC starts to play his song on the flute after placing the Aqua Note on the awakening alter. As he plays, the note starts to shine and starts to pulsate with the sounds, echoing the music throughout the room. It slowly shifts from being only TGC's flute to the full song itself resounding through the room. As the song continues to play, the music note itself is surrounded in a veil of water, constantly flowing around it as if it were a waterfall. The water enlarges and grows until suddenly, it feels as if the world itself is still. There is only this song and the note. The water dissipates, flowing itself into the flute and seemingly disappearing. Where the water and note once were, now an unknown creature floats in the air. It's almost as it's swimming in the air itself. Opening its eyes, the dark blue Note Beast looks over to TGC. Its scaly body reflects the light and its long tail slowly swishes back and forth. The sea creature's blue eyes look at you and it opens its fanged snout to release a small sound. With two small spikes on its head and tail, the sea creature resembles something close to a seahorse, sea serpent hybrid. It floats to you, looking into your eyes expectantly. The woman smiles as she watches the birth of a new Note Beast.
"I think he likes you. It's important for Note Beasts and their Conductors to get along well. Here, this will help you along your journey as well." She hands TGC a small notebook. "This is what we call a compendium. You can keep records of the things you see in here. It is of course for your reference only, so feel free to only put in what seems necessary. You might want to put in the name of this one here in along with some information. I can tell already that your monster will become much stronger. Even though he's only Score 1 right now, I'm sure he will rise in rank quickly." The woman quickly writes down a few things on a paper and hands it to you. "Here, this is his information. It will help us register him in the database if you sign it. Of course, it's up to you to keep track of him and the changes along the way."

Nega falls into bed, sleeping soundly after another day of difficult training with Beta. Its easy to sleep after such hard work...
He is alarmingly woken up by one of the warriors training with him. "Quickly! Monsters are attacking! We must escape!" Nega follows the man outside to the entrance of the temple where other guards are trying to fight off shadow monsters. Two of them are assaulting the temple and they knock the guards off the mountain, plummeting to their doom as you walk out. Their attention is then focused on you! "There's no way we can fight them if they took out the guards that fast! Where's the master!? We need her to help us!"

Nega runs back through the temple with the warrior following behind. Nega can hear the warrior shout out for help before a disgusting crunch silences him. The ninja continues running at full speed down the corridors until reaching a dead end in the temple. A fountain with a lion as the centerpiece flows there and as you glance behind you, the Shadow Beasts seem to be closing in on you.

Hide behind the fountain and have Beta hide in the fountain. When there's a chance, make a run for it past them.

Both you and Beta take your positions, hiding. As you wait there, the Shadow Beasts are closing in! There are too many to run past! Three...four...five...!? They crowd the halls, struggling to reach you the fastest with bloodlust! It's then Beta leaps out of the water, making a roaring sound in terror as the water in the fountain turns blood red. Both you and Beta are backed up against the wall as Shadow Beasts fill in. Then...something warm falls on your shoulder. It's blood. You look up. There's a red handprint on a brick in the wall just above you. Without any solution left, you push your hand on the indicated spot as the floor drops out from below you! You're sent falling downwards as the Shadow Beasts disappear from sight. When you fall onto something soft on the bottom, you look around. You seem to have landed on some sort of mat or something that stops falls from hurting you. As you look around the room, it appears to be a secret bedroom built into the side of the mountain with a window as moonlight filters in. There's a beautiful bed and a nightstand with a diary. You slowly approach and see bloody hand prints on the desk with foot prints on the floor leading to the desk. The diary is written in blood. It says some things here about...Symphony Summoning. What is that...? Should you read further...? Your Note Beast seems uneasy...

Symphony Summoning is a forbidden art. It has only ever been performed once. It came at the cost of many lives. Once again, there will be another Symphony Summoning. When this Symphony Summon is performed, all will end. It must be stopped, or the end of the world is at hand.
From there, the writing goes into a scribble off page as if whoever had been writing this suddenly stopped with their hand falling off the desk. As you place the book down, the room starts to feel unnaturally cold...it seems the only way out from here is a doorway unless you want to jump out the window.
