(New mechanic update: You can ask an NPC to use one of your item for you during battle. Note that only one player can ask for this kind of help each turn. This way, if a NPC joins you in battle, you have the perks of using an item and attacking in the same turn.)

Sidestep? I dunno if the battle is over yet. Seems like we somehow spared him Undertale style.
(Literally all I can think of right now with the battles is this.)
