Fiora asks about who it is exactly that Mitsuru is referring to. Who is 'them'? "The others with personas. Their names are Makoto, Yukari, Junpei, Akihiko, and Fuuka. They're the other members of SEES, a group of persona users that are looking for a way to stop the dark hour. Last night, they went out to stop a powerful shadow that appeared. There was a giant turtle with the shadow. I decided to stay and watch after the dorm, but when they didn't return after a while or respond when I tried to contact them, I got worried. That spider definitely had signs of battling and was much weaker when we fought it. That turtle is gone though. Did he have something to do with this...?"
Meanwhile, PJ goes and falls in the ocean, trying to catch fish with his hands. Now he's in the water without any fish.

Sure, this way we each have control of a character we like and know plenty about and it won't take as long to make decisions.
Also, I would love to include Plague Knight in my database.

Plague Knight looks down in the water to see PJ effortlessly floating in the water, moving his arms around to attempt and grab Remoraid swimming around. The Pokemon battle from earlier seems to have ended and the two battlers are nowhere to be seen. You notice a group of strange people wearing white outfits with hoods talking on the docks.
"Yes, we should start looking for them. Let's start by searching for something where they fought the shadow. It was in town close to the train station." Fiora and Mitsuru head down to the station and it looks like nothing happened here. There's no trace of a fight anywhere. You remember this is where the elevator is, but it doesn't seem to work unless your entire team on this floor is together.

Fiora brings Mitsuru to check town. Outside of the train station, she sees the dancers in their spot from before and people walking around. When she explores another one of the streets, she finds a Pokemon Gym and a building labeled 'Not Suspicious' by a sign outside of it. There is also a restaurant she finds on that street that seems to specialize in Pokemon battles while they cook your food.

Team Plasma? Depending on if this is based on BW or BW2 they could either be good or bad news, but Plague Knight decides there's something fishy about those guys and decides not to bother with them for now. PK looks down towards PJ.
"Hee! I'm going to go look for a friend of mine."
Plague Knight goes to look for Fiora.

Fiora leads Mitsuru into the not suspicious building. It seems completely empty inside. There's just a few tables or so and an elevator. She checks the other floors as well, but the whole building is completely empty.
Plague Knight heads off to look for Fiora, walking down the street and looking for her. There doesn't appear to be anyone or anything of interest on this street. In fact, it's more like a small park that leads to the center of town with the train station. All that's here is some sort of shrine where people leave wishes to be answered and pray.

Fiora leaves to check out the restaurant. As she walks in the waitress looks to you. "Oh, do you have a reservation? If you don't I'm afraid we're fully booked right now and don't have any tables. Sorry! If you want to eat here, you'll have to come back later when you reserve a table."
Plague Knight moves past the shrine and the park, deciding not to look around either of them. He finds his way back to the center of the town, where those two dancers still are performing. The train station is here as well, but you don't see Fiora anywhere around here.
