We can always just play it off as being part of the entertainment and they wanted to do a test run away from the festival because they want to make sure everything is running smoothly before they perform in the festival

Dave asks the guards about where the red haired boy went while Link releases Butterfree secretly. The butterfly Pokemon flies off to look for Peach around the castle. Both the guards look to each other a moment while the one on the left hesitates a little. "He was sent off to court and is likely on his way to jail now. He will probably be executed for stealing the earrings of the princess." Well, there's the answer. It seems if you guys want Crono, you'll have to go find him in jail. Oh, and as for Butterfree, Peach was found up high in the castle within her room. In fact, Butterfree even helped her down! She walks up to your group and the guards get ready to yell for help, but are knocked out by Butterfree's Grass Whistle. That was close.
"I heard the guards say Crono was sent to jail for an execution! We have to save him immediately! You will help, won't you? I have no doubt Lucca is already there, trying to plan out a way to free Crono."

Agreeing to help, your team heads out to the jail, meeting Lucca at the entrance. She also is going to break out Crono, but it isn't as easy as just breaking in and beating everyone up. Charging straight through would lead to a lot of battles. Sneaking inside to get Crono out may be your best option here...but you need a plan as to how.

Hmm there has to be a way to distract the gaurds.
How bout this Fuzzy and feel free to edit and add your idea and suggestions too. This is what i am thinking and again any and all input is greatly appreciated.
Have PJ, Butterfree, and Navi ready to go. Obviously setting up DJs stage and equipment would take too long and would be too obvious. Yet something to just amplify the power of Butters grass whistle and Navis sing would work. Ask Peach where is the best place to lure the guards away from the jail cells. When we get the location PJ, Lucia (we can use her technological genuises here) Butterfree, and Navi will go there. Ask Lucia if she can make a couple of microphones and a mini speaker using DJs equipment so we can amplify the power of Navi and Frees sing and Grass whistle putting most if not all the guards to sleep.
Meanwhile we have, Peach, PK, and Link get Crono from his cell, Peach should know the quickest and easiest way to get to the clls with the greatest chance of not getting caught. They are to find Crono and get him out of there.
Dave he is our lookout and watches the main entrance. Why Dave for lookout?
Dave has his motorcycle so he can use that to pick up Lucia group once they are done with their mission. Also if things are starting to go south (like unforseen reinforcements, etc.) Dave can either use the horn or engine on his motorcycle to warn everyone or the fire flower he has on him. Plus he has the shells he can always use as a way to defend himself (that and just going onto his shell and spinning really fast).
So Fuzzy any suggestions or input

Sounds good. Pretty much the only huge obstacle we should expect is the Dragon Tank, and between the character we have here we should be able to take it.

Lucca gets to work on PJ's equipment, modifying it to change his speakers into Mini Speakers. With these, he can easy carry around the sound right within his pocket...? PJ doesn't have any pockets. Come to think of it where does he keep all this stuff? Who knows? Anyway, PJ can carry around the sound without seeming suspicious at all and the microphones are wireless with Lucca's modifications. Now Butterfree and Navi can easily carry them around. PJ and the Pokemon along with Lucca go and put all the guards to sleep with their musical power and Peach leads the way for Plague Knight and Link to go further into the jail, looking for Crono. She takes them immediately to the execution room as Navi and Butterfree go around, making sure all the guards are sleeping soundly. The door to the execution room is obviously locked, but Plague Knight breaks the door down with a simple bomb. Your team rushes in, putting everyone to sleep and rescuing Crono. But, just before you escape, it seems there's something to block your way at the exit. What the...!? This isn't the Dragon Tank! Is this...Bowser??? It looks like Bowser, but is moving strangely and doesn't appear to be talking...
Meanwhile, keeping watch outside, Dave doesn't see any trouble. He did notice some Koopas pass by into the jail though. There was four of them, but he didn't recognize them and they clearly weren't guards or anything.

Alright everyone, get ready to fight. PK takes out his potions, Link sends out the rest of his Pokemon and takes out his bow, Lucca aims her gun, and Crono draws his sword. Any battle plans?

(Just to tell you something, Link doesn't really know how that bow works. It's more of an ancient family artifact passed down to him.)

OMG OMG Fuzzy its The Koopa Bros and this is the Trojan Bowser phase of the battle. We need to get Lucia close to Trojan Bowser and we let her take apart Trojan Bowser bit by bit. First we have to distract Bowser?? PK, Peach and Link focus on pelting Bowser?. Dave gets Lucia on his Motorcycle and they make there way behind Bowser? ? When Lucia can do so safely get on top of Trojan Bowser and begins breaking down Bowser piece by piece. For extra protection have Free use String shot on Lucia this way she has extra support and Free can always pull her to safety in case things start looking bad.

Yep. That being said, I don't think it would be a good idea to get Lucca on top of "Bowser" since PK fights by throwing explosives from above. Just have her attack with Flamethrower and that should burn through it.

Your right Fuzzy lets change it from on Top of Bowser change it to disabling Bowser? in the safest way possible

Your group distracts Bowser? with a barrage of attacks, overwhelming it! Bowser? is so focused on the source of the attacks, that when Dave drives by on his motorcycle and picks up Lucca, Bowser? doesn't notice until it's too late! Lucca hits him with Flamethrower and already being damaged from before, Bowser? falls apart! It's then shown that this isn't Bowser, but rather the Koopa Bros.! "OH NO! They broke our machine..."
"The boss is gonna be so mad..."
"...Hey, maybe we should..."
"RUN!" Before you can chase after them, the koopas all run away! They're pretty speedy. It's not over yet, though. It seems the guards all have woken up and are running towards you all! There's no way you can fight them like this. There's too many! Dave gets everyone on his motorcycle (somehow) and drives you all off toward the nearby forest. This should provide cover for now, but there's no doubt the guards will catch up soon! Luckily, the elevator appears just in time! Mitsuru pulls everyone inside as the doors shut with one of the guards nearly making it inside! That was close...too close. Everyone made it out in one piece though. You guys seem to have cleared the floor! It still feels a little weird like future floors may be affected somehow, but that's just one of those feelings. Now it looks like you can pick a new floor to go to. It's...probablt best to stay away from this one for a little while, but it's your choice!

You push the button to go to Floor 10 and after the elevator moves a little, the doors open to reveal what looks like an arena with a suspended platform over lava. You'll want to choose your characters carefully...
