Here, you can gauge your heart level with certain characters. The higher their heart level is, the more you get along with that character. Characters you have a high heart level with will often enjoy going on adventures with you more and will more often listen to you when you ask them for help in things. This can prove helpful on the battlefield as well as in town, so don't try to ignore it completely. Eventually, if you get a heart level high enough, you can date or marry someone. Another thing to keep in mind is that player characters do not require heart gauges as the player will decide if their character likes or dislikes someone. Having a heart gauge with someone doesn't necessarily mean it's a romantic relationship though. It could simply mean close friends. Basically, this way you can still gain the bonuses without being forced into marrying your character.

Kaze sama can i S rank multiple people????? Generally only one S Rank per character, but you could try more than one...likely your spouse won't be too happy though. You can definitely nudge NPCs closer together though, if you want. |

So, I was just thinking about it and Mosquito might be the only one who can actually have a lover.
Malik: Doesn't even think about love, only about adventure... Maybe an NPC could approach him, but he'll never ever think about loving someone himself.
Balynka: No comment. She's rude and only cares about making money.
Yzza: She's a Monk. She could actually develop love for someone, but she made vow of chastity.
Mosquito: Literally loves everyone.
