I thought the Lost Kingdom was supposed to be kind of serious. Let's add in Phlerb as a Dark Lord. If Chicken Bowser is there, Phlerb should exist.

(I think it's going to be tough to take Chocobo Suit Bowser showing up in a game that has nothing to do with Mario seriously regardless of who's controlling him.)
