Wait so what exactly is happening? I know we are fighting a swordmaster. Then umm after that whats going on. Umm whos the Animator, who's Hey and Spouse, and does Bawkser exist?

Balynka made a plan to hit the swordmaster. We're waiting for Just to update to see if it works. A and Space tried to bait the swordman into thinking everyone wants a battle to the death. We don't know if it affects Balynka's plan yet. Just seemed pretty clear that Bawkser is a thing now. The Animator is my Dark Lord and had the task of finding A and Space, which she mispronounces as "Hey" and "Spouse" |

Balynka tells everyone her elaborate plan before having them all run forward and attack. Explosions of fire, wind, and darkness fill the area as Rumbles quickly dashes forward with Yzza dropping down from above. Balynka throws her sword in as well and then finally, when the dust settles, she finds that Yzza and Rumbles just sort of crashed into each other and they made a big hole in the ground...the Swordmaster is behind Balynka. "A very carefully considered plan, but it will not work on me. Your attacks all just created a mess and made each other miss. Besides, by the time they hit, I wasn't even there." The Swordmaster then dodges as Bawkser throws Space and multiple Fungaurs with pointy hats at him. While he's busy though, Joey manages to sneak up behind him in his tree. Having avoided the fighting the whole time, he manages to sneak up on the Swordmaster and pokes him with his super long stick. "Oh. It appears you have bested me. I can dodge what I can see, but not what I do not know is coming. Very smart of you to hide in waiting until just the right time, Joey. This must mean that you heroes have earned the great power of Limit Break."
"ROAR!"
"No way! I need to know how to make bigger EXPLOSIONS!" The Animator shows up with the Dusk Tiger and The Detonator at her side. "Let's just catch him and force him to tell us how to make things go KABOOM!"
"I knew having this many Dark Lords in one area could only lead to trouble." Kardus reaches for his tome.
"I can't let these guys steal our ultimate technique! Imagine the buckets of cash I could make selling that stuff!" Ana takes out her bow and points it toward the enemy.

Lupis attacks The Mask directly along with Yura before Terra shoots more powerful blasts of light at it. "I will finish this myself!" Layor uses Weather Crash, causing the darkness to dispel beneath everyone before a powerful explosion of dark energy blasts around The Mask.
"Gah...ha...heh..." A strange mask falls off of the king's face before he falls to the ground, returning to normal.
Layor runs over to the king and tries to heal him. "Father! Are you alright!?"
"...My dear princess...sweet, little Royal...It's so nice to see you just one last time..."
"What!? No! Don't say that!"
"It's alright, Royal...Ever since the day that mask took control of me, I knew this would happen...But I'm so proud of you...Not only did you have the courage to stand up to the Dark Lords, but you had the strength as well..."
"..."
"...Please don't be sad...These friends of yours...they're good ones...Lupis...Yura...keep my daughter safe...and continue to teach her well...'
"...Please no..."
"Do not cry, my dear...Try to smile one last time...for me..." Layor tries her best. "Beautiful...My little princess is all grown up and doing great things...now...I can rest in peace..."
"Father...? No...! Please wake up...! PLEASE...!" The king's body is lifeless. "...I'm so sorry...this is all my fault. I should have done something before it got to this..." Layor sits by the dead king, sobbing.
"..." Yura seems to be at a loss for words.
"...I...I am sorry..." Terra doesn't know what to say either.

Seeing how I don't think there's any words that could make the situation better, a "..." from Lupis will have to do. Tbh, I was actually hoping that by sticking to blunt strikes and holy magic it would be possible to have get an alternate outcome where he was saved without dying.
On another note, I just realized something. Currently, we've got a party that was sent to get Golden Needles which is now trying to recruit Magis, a party that was sent to battle the guardian of ice which has now split up and is sidequesting, a party that was sent to recruit the Verians which has also split up to complete sidequests, and a party that was sent to find the Guardian of Air which has split up and just finished a sidequest that will likely lead to recruiting Rainfall, but wasn't there a party that was supposed to save Cyril?

I can make it so those characters fight each other for the most part, but there will be interference from the other characters not paired up as well. |

Now the big question is who will Paul use his magic book on? Himself and someone he likes? Two people he thinks would make a good couple? The suspense is real. (Keep in mind player characters will need permission before you use the book on them.) |
