"Who are you people? What were you doing with me?" He asked his voice quiet and raspy.
These peoples accents were strange to him. He did not like the way their voices sounded. It reminded him of the Invariant.

"I found you out in the snow. I thought we should take shelter here..."

Slowly, Viker's pose relaxed, and he sat down near the fire. He began to study the people near by. He wondered if they found his mask and appearance disturbing.

Malik: "So... You have no idea where Terran is?
Hmm...
Have you been here for long?"

Viker:
"No. Not for more than a few hours. What is this Terran of which you speak? Is it a country, mayhaps?"

"It's the capital or something...
I hope everyone is still alive..."

"Would you mind telling me about it? I know nothing of this land."

"It's beautiful, there's people everywhere, the market smells good, everyone is interesting and the King gives house to the adventurers for free!
The adventurers though are the ones who seal the deal... They all chose to protect Terran as their duty.
My friends Jessica, Ashley, Keth and Sci live there. I come from another kingdom myself, but they accepted me as one of their own.
I tried to protect them, but I think I failed again...
I hope I'll see them again...
Where are you from?"

"I am from a far away land by the name of Treaux. Long ago. Now, Treaux is no more."
"I feel as if we get going."
I hope this Terran is still beautiful when I leave.

"I'm sure it will be." Huh? Did she just...read your mind? "There's no reason it should be any different unless you plan to hurt it."

"It's not I would hurt it."
At least not willingly...
"Stay out of my head, magician."
He turned to Malik, "Are magicians common place here?"

"I don't think I'm a magician. I'm sorry that I heard your thoughts. They were very clearly stated though. In fact, both of you seem to have rather open minds. I can read them like a book!" What!? She can't be serious...

"My mind should have been well guarded. Many of The Invariant, or the Elfish people, as they are often called, could read minds, and so could The Destroyers rift born. Why is that you can read my mind with such ease?
Has the Mad Conductor taken my magic for his own entertainment?
To test his theory, Viker whispers the word, "Iganuis..." His arm begins to blacken before the skin peels away in crisped bits. Charring bone and boiling blood can be see underneath his flesh.
His arm seems to flex, and a small but if flame sprouts in his mutilated hand. It disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared. Viker repeated this a few more times, before he ended the spell, with the word "Fini..."
"So it true, my magic does not work as it should..."

"I don't know anything you're talking about. I'm just a normal person. I think. I don't remember. Did someone take your magic away? What's going on?" She seems a little worried. Perhaps...your mind is a bit much to handle right now...

"I don't know anything you're talking about. I'm just a normal person. I think. I don't remember. Did someone take your magic away? What's going on?" She seems a little worried. Perhaps...your mind is a bit much to handle right now... (Forgot to mention that his arm had returned it it's original state.) Viker's arm returned to it's original state with the word Fini. He flexed his fingers a few times out of instinct. "I am unsure. This may be the work of someone, though, I would not call it a person, in fact, it is much worse. You should not worry about me. I am from a distant place that no longer exists, and would make little sense to you even if it did, and my health will remain in decent stature as long as I wear this mask." It is I who should worry about you. Are you entirely shire that you can remember nothing not even a bit of your past and recent life?"
