Sylvia walks into a room resembling the throne room of Magis. She knows this room well. Sitting there is Lancet. "Ah, Sylvia. You're here now. I was wondering when you would show up. I was getting bored waiting for you." He stands up and looks at her. "I bet all this time you've been sitting there, wondering 'Why Lancet, why!?' Well, the answer, Sylvia, is YOU! Father always loved you. He kept going on and on about what a prodigy you were. 'Sylvia did this' or 'Sylvia did that' Well enough! I am sick of this! I'm pushed around! My country is pushed around! I say it's time both rise to greater power! I won't ever forgive you for what you've done, Sylvia. Never! So I'll kill you. I'll become stronger than you! I WILL BECOME POWERFUL! I DON'T NEED LOVE! I AM THE STRONGEST MAGE OF ALL!" The Book of Light is taken out and the throne behind Lancet explodes in light.

Sylvia doesn't draw her weapon, instead focusing on sidestepping Lancet's attacks. "Actually, he was always telling me how proud he was to see you following in his footsteps. Your father has a strange way of showing it, but he loves you, and I have faith that under all of this Dark Lord emotional manipulation there's at least a little bit of you that knows that. So, here's how this is going to work: I'm just going to keep you busy until the Lancet I know breaks out of this control. Sorry if you were expecting a fight to the death, I'm gonna have to disappoint you on that one."

Sylvia steps around arrows of light shot out of the tome and then jumps back to avoid an explosion of light at the end. "You're LYING! Don't come in here and tell me I don't know what I'm talking about! Just because you're everyone's favorite. You're the hero. You're the prodigy. You're the summoner. Well...I'M SICK OF IT. I HATE YOU! IT'S TIME I WAS SOMETHING FOR ONCE!" Beams of light shoot out around Sylvia and damage her, being undodgeable.

Sylvia casts Heal, recovering her health while still not drawing her weapon and dodging as many attacks as she can. "Lancet, you're next in line to be Arcsage. That certainly sounds important to me. You know that the people of Magis are out there fighting the Mechanis forces, right? They're not fighting for me. Heck, they don't even know who I am aside from a few of them who knew me as 'That friend of Lancet'. They're out there because they're worried about you, and because they want to keep you from doing something you'll regret."

Sylvia heals herself fully before trying to reason with Lancet. "No...! NO! STOP IT! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR LIES! GO AWAY! I HATE YOU!" Large light spears appear above Lancet before they're launched at Sylvia. She manages to avoid them, but Lancet causes light chains to wrap around Sylvia's legs and hold her in place. "Now you're trapped. Now you're dead! I WILL FINALLY BE KNOWN! I WILL FINALLY CHANGE THE WORLD!" A large magic circle appears behind Lancet and gathers light energy.

Sylvia surrounds herself in flames to break the chains before harmlessly dissipating the flames and jumping out of the way of the ensuing attack. "Lancet, you and I both know that helping destroy the world isn't going to change it for the better. As for not believing that the people of Magis are out there fighting to keep you from doing something you'll regret, why don't you go see for yourself?" As a reminder, you yourself said that in order for the sequel to make sense, the characters with summons need to have kids. Well, in order for Sylvia having a kid to make sense, both her and Lancet have to make it out of this alive, and in Lancet's case not crazy and evil.

"DON'T TALK TO ME. I DON'T WANNA HEAR YOU. I WON'T LISTEN. IHATEYOUIHATEYOUIHATEYOUIHATEYOUIHATEYOUIHATEYOUIHATEYOUIHATEYOU!!!" As Sylvia burns off and breaks the light chains, Lancet starts blasting giant beams of light at her. She manages to dodge them, but Lancet traps her within a magic light circle, holding her in place.

Sylvia doesn't say a word, instead taking out a good luck charm and holding it up so Lancet can clearly see it. (Explanation: Originally I was going to have her explain how the two of them had given each other matching good luck charms when Sylvia left Magis and that they had promised to keep them with them at all times, but considering that Lancet would already know this I felt that silence would be more impactful. The reason she's taking it out is still the same, she's just not explaining it.)

Lancet takes out his rapier and runs toward Sylvia. As she takes out her charm and holds it in the air, he raises his sword. Noticing what it is, Lancet freezes for a moment. As he stares at the charm, he whispers to Sylvia. "I'm sorry." His sword quickly swings downward and Sylvia closes her eyes. Once she opens them though, she finds that Lancet stabbed himself with his own sword. The circle trapping her disappears and Lancet falls on his knees. The darkness around Lancet disappears. "I'm so...sorry. I never meant for things to end this way...but I can still make it up to you. You can't save a Dark Lord...but I can make it easier to end one. You shouldn't have to live with killing me...so I'll do it myself." Light energy zaps around Lancet and seems to damage him pretty badly. He falls over on his side and falls limp. The battle is over...

Sylvia tries to heal him, only for it to fail and her to notice that he no longer has a pulse. She picks up his Rapier and the Light Tome, places them in her inventory, and then leaves the room without saying a thing. She walks through the Dark Hall, goes outside, and looks on at the war in the distance. (Continued in war topic, don't post anything just yet.)

Keep in mind you won't be able to actually go down there and fight. You'll have to stick with attacks through the glass. Phase 2 hasn't even happened yet.
