Mech looked up at the sky. The moon was full tonight, and he would use that to his advantage. He walked to the entrance that is all too familiar to him. He left the gryphon at home this time, because one way or another this would decide who was worthy. Mech puts his scan goggles on, and equips a pair of claw gloves and claw boots. He is ready to do what he came here to do.
The goggles start scanning the clearing where the dragon had been before. The goggles were not picking up any life forms. "Where is that dragon? I swear he is supposed to be here..." Just then Yiishla let's out a mighty roar and descends from the sky at tremendous speed.
"What the?" Mech dives out of the way, narrowly dodging a purple beam that would have ended his very life. Mech morphs his right claw, destroying the glove that was originally on his hand. The hand has become a grappling hook, and he launches it at one of the spear shields that is still stuck inside the massive creature. It connects and Mech begins pulling himself up toward the nape of the dragons neck.
Mech lands on the top of the neck, and begins crawling towards the head with his claw boots and one claw glove. Once he reaches the top of the dragon, he morphs his right hand into a long chain. The dragon sees what Mech is trying to do, and tries to throw him from his back. It works, and Mech goes flying off the dragon once again. Mech was prepared for this, though, and he quickly morphs his right hand to a hookshot and launches it at the beast. It connects at the base of the beast's spine, and Mech goes soaring back up to continue his fight.
Mech resumes climbing up the beast, and preps his chain once more. The beast dives toward the ground, attempting to scrape off Mech. Mech leaps into the air, fires the chain from his right arm, then morphs his left hand (ripping the claw glove) into another chain and launches that one as well. Both chains connect, and wrap around the dragon's neck like massive metal reigns. The dragon lets out a screech, and crashes to the earth. He struggles, trying to free himself from these chains. Finally the ancient beast lets out a mighty roar.
"What manner of creature are you, that you could best I, Yiishla, the dragon of death?"
Mech hops off the dragon, and begins conversing with the beast. "My name is Mech, and I am the commander of Dino Mechanis. I heard your challenge, and came. It was no simple task, you are a mighty warrior."
"Yes, I am one of the 10 ancients. I issued my challenge because I sought to serve with a worthy ally. I pledge my alliance to you, but only if you will allow me to serve at your side at all times. I wish to be your personal mount, because only the most worthy should be allowed to saddle me."
"I accept. It would be an honor to have you as my companion."
