Rules
Players will have a deck of cards to draw from. Each deck contains 40 cards. Both players start out with five cards and draw a new card every time it reaches their turn. On a player’s turn, they can play a character card. The goal of the game is to take out the opponent’s health as fast as you can.
Character Cards
Characters will have two simple stats. Attack and Health. Attack decides how much damage a character will do to another character while Health decides how many attacks a character can survive before dying. Defeated character cards are removed from the playing field and placed in the discard pile. Each player can only have up to five character cards in play at once. Some character cards have special effects that will change gameplay. Players can only attack another player using their cards if the other player has no character cards in play.
Ability Cards
These are special cards that will allow you to use special abilities from Vitcon games. They can be very useful in battle with some allowing you to attack twice and some allowing you to destroy enemy monsters. There are two types of ability cards. Instant Cards which can be played at any time, and Chain Cards which can only be activated in unison with the effects stated on the card. There are all kinds of different Ability Cards and their effects, so look forward to seeing what there is out there.
Deck Holder Skills
Everyone that plays Vitcards has their own special skill that can be activated once per game. This is sort of like your special ability or Limit Break. Everyone’s is unique. Some people can heal their character cards while others can revive their character cards from the discard pile. Some can draw cards and others can summon two monsters at a time! It all depends on who you’re playing against. Keep in mind that your Deck Holder Skill can never change and will always stay with you throughout your Vitcard playing.
Battle
When characters do battle with other characters, the attacker deals their damage first. You can only attack once per character each turn so make them count! The attacker’s direct attack points are subtracted from the enemy monster’s health unless stated otherwise by a special card effect. If the health drops to zero or below, the monster is destroyed and sent to the discard. If the defending character card survives, however, then the defender’s attack points divided in half are subtracted from the attacker’s health. This means that even if you’re initiating attack, you could still end up with a defeated character. Plan carefully!
Summoning and the Bonus Deck
When summoning, keep in mind that you can only summon one character at a time. You can also play as many Instant Cards as you’d like during your turn or Chain Cards as long as the conditions are met. When you summon a character card, some cards may have special requirements such as needing a sacrifice or requiring an upgrade to another card. These cards go in the Bonus Deck. Cards that require special summoning conditions can be summoned at any time from the Bonus Deck as long as the conditions are met.
Victory Conditions and Prize Cards
The goal of the game is to get the Deck Holder’s health down to zero. Every Deck Holder has 30 Health to survive off of. Likewise, if your health hits zero, you lose. Another way to win is make your opponent run out of cards. If they cannot draw a card at the start of their turn because their deck is empty, they will lose and be forced to surrender. Winners of Vitcard games can gain any Arena Coins or Vitcards that were put up for betting. When playing against the Vitcard NPCs such as Flora and Rain, you will also win Prize Cards. These are special cards presented in vitcory. These are also presented to tournament victors.
I think that about sums up Vitcards. Any questions?

Give me my cards What determines our Deck Holder Skill because that sounds stupid You can decide what it is. You can't change it once you choose though. It should be something unique for each player. If I think it's unfair, I'll tell you to change it though.

Does a Deck Holder Skill have to be an ability that specifically can be used only once

I have this one idea, but I honestly can't tell if it's OP or UnderP I also honestly forgot about that stipulation so I can make another later if this is too dumb and stupid and eww
Description: Awkward operates a forklift and moves cargo while playing Vitcards. Every 5 turns, Awkward earns enough money to rent a Vitcard, adding an additional card to Awkward's deck. This card is randomly picked from all existing Vitcards and cannot be kept after the game.

It doesn't seem very useful. It would just make your deck cluttered with junk. It would be more useful just to have an ability that draws cards.

That's stupid. Then you just go through your cards unnecessarily faster. I get one every turn anyways. You were the type of kid who asked for two candy bars when he went to the store, weren't you?

I never asked for any candy bars. I just climbed in the cart and pretended I was driving.
