His expression suddenly changes as Julia mentions Solaria and the human. "WAIT...SHE COULDN'T POSSIBLY MEAN TO DO THAT. SHE FOUND ONE THAT SHE TRUSTS THAT MUCH AND IT'S FINALLY COME TO THIS...?"

"What are you talking about?"

"THE LAST RESORT TO EVERYTHING. WHEN OUR WORLD FACES ABSOLUTE DESTRUCTION. THE TWELVE KEEPERS CANNOT HOLD MORE THAN ONE SOUL OR IT WOULD CONSUME THEM. BUT A HUMAN CAN HOLD EVERY SINGLE SOUL. TOGETHER WE HAD MADE A VOW TO SELECT A HUMAN VESSEL IF EVER THE NEED AROSE...I BELIEVE SHE CHOSE THIS HUMAN. I DID NOT THINK IT WOULD EVER COME TO THIS. BUT IF SOLARIA TRULY BELIEVES THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY TO DO THINGS...I CANNOT ARGUE WITH HER. GO TO THE NINTH FLOOR. I WILL SEE YOU THERE. FOR THE SAKE OF OUR WORLD...PLEASE DON'T BE WRONG, SOLARIA."

Everyone heads to the ninth floor as the strange creatures all gather around a fire and start to dance around it. Balar's head is stuck in through a large hole in the tree. "AS THE KEEPER OF THE FOREST SOUL, I BESTOW THIS GIFT UPON YOU. DO NOT LET IT BE FOR NAUGHT, HUMAN."

(Sorry that was really bad. I just wrote this about five different times already and was sick of it, so there's that. Now we're done with it and can move on.)

The party goes and retreives Fox afterwards, discovering that Solaria had been putting them through a test this entire time to decide if they were to be the ones she would entrust the twelve souls with. She actually took really good care of Fox while you were all gone and he was already tested by her a few weeks ago. If you were to do any harm to the Great Tree or Balar, she would have deemed you all unworthy. But luckily you did it right. Everyone goes home and happiness happens.
