I'll think about it, but 10:47 is too late at night to commit to a decision with potentially dire consequences.

Milton will send his song in the walls.
It often changes things into skulls, so if skulls appear in the walls, the eye sockets will make it easier to climb the walls.

Why don't we have Plantina send her song into the ceiling at the same time as Milton does so into the wall? Meanwhile, what song was in the rocks? If it's something that makes things turn to stone it might be able to make the quicksand pit below us safe to cross.

Vines from the ceilimg would definitely help.

Cedar received Clash from the rocks as it was part of the environment. He could also tell that the boulder was tampered with, using tuner abilities to make it fall in front of them.
Do you plan on changing the many Lizardmen following you too? Remember you have more than just the five miners. You have five prisoners and three tree lizardmen. So you're changing the environment to make the walls into skulls and the ceiling into vines? Anything else?

If need be, but for now let's just try to get them across in their current state.

Milton uses his song, changing the wall into walls made of skulls while Plantina uses her song to make the ceiling covered in vines. With three paths open to cross, you all lead the Lizardmen across the quicksand pit. As the last Lizardman makes it across, you can see the quicksand start moving toward you all from the last room. You all continue to run out of the mine, finally escaping with the Lizardmen you have as the entrance tunnel comes crashing down and blocks off entering the mines again. You can see sand trickling out of the rocks a little, but that seems to be the end of it. The quicksand has been stopped. You all look around and see that you are in the Lizardman mining village.
The Lizardmen in the village look at you sort of confused. The Lizardman King's castle is close by. The other Lizardmen that you saved all look rather surprised. The mine they have worked in all their lives is destroyed and they just saw the real power of tuners. It seems you saved most of the Lizardmen from the mine that you could, but there were a few guards that were left behind. The Lizardmen are starting to think that tuners might actually be good people.

Well, we can't just bail right now. We could try to amass more supporters in order to riot and overthrow the king.

(You also have the Crablings. They've been captured and are somewhere. Also, the gray is still supposed to hit this island, you just don't know when.
I read Awkward's comment and thought this was Vitquest.)

Personally, I think our first order of business should be finding if it was the king who caused that landslide with whatever residual tuner power he had left or if we're dealing with an evil tuner.

(So it sounds like the plan is trying to overthrow the king? How do you plan on doing that?)

Come on, I think it's the king. Can will ask the lizard amigos if they'd help overthrow the clearly evil king.

(I'm assuming you're asking the ones you saved.)
You asked the Lizardmen you saved if they will help you overthrow the king. The prisoners say yes without hesitation. The miners think about it a moment. They then say they want you to speak with the king because he is the nicest and strongest Lizardman of all.

So is it settled that we're going to head up and confront the king about whether this was his doing? This time let's not stand on the trapdoor. Edit: Well that was an unfortunate typo courtesy of autocorrect. I'm not sure why it corrected "is it" to "idiot", but it did.

Milton: "To overthrow great shaman, someone must challenge him to a duel and become the great shaman.
Of course, the great shaman cannot refuse the duel or he forfeits his title and lose the respect of the tribe.
In that case, dropping his challenger in the trapdoor would be considered cheating, in which case his title is forfeit and the tribe should vote for a new leader.
Great shaman cannot fight his own tribe if he lost their trust."
