Pip leads the way with Cinder, Werp, Paula, and Moon following behind. It's calmly raining in the dark jungle. Fire type attacks will be weakened and water type attacks will be stronger. It's sort of difficult to see. Luckily, Paula generates some electricity and lights up the area. The party moves onward and looks around. There are some Shadow Pokemon up ahead. They haven't noticed you yet, but it's three Beedrill. That poison could be dangerous...

Cinder will use scratch when the party attacks and Werp will use water gun (which apparently is not resisted, I guess I was wrong about that). Werp will also keep his distance since he takes x4 damage from bug type moves. In hindsight I'm not entirely sure why I had him come here... Also since he needs to forget a move, get rid of Growl.

...Werp only takes double damage from big moves.

...Okay, apparently I don't know how water and bug interact nearly as well as I thought I did.

Maybe I should post a type chart somewhere for you guys to look at.

No, it's fine. Any time I have Internet access I can either look at a strategy guide or pull up a type chart online. I guess I just got it in my head for some reason that bugs have some sort of advantage over water.

(I was wondering why Fuzzy thought that you take 4x the damage from bug type moves as Water and Pyshcic.)
Paula will combine Electro ball (or Thundershock if she hasn't learned Electro Ball yet) with Pip's water type moves

Cinder runs in, leading the charge as he jumps up and scratches one of the Beedrill that are flying around. Werp launches a Water Gun into the same Beedrill, soaking its wings and knocking it to the ground. Pip then combines Water Gun and Bubble to create a Bubble Gun attack. Paula runs in and electrifies Pip's water attack and Cinder's scarf glows, sending its own power into the attack to make it twice as powerful. All of the Beedrill are hit with the Electro Bubble Blast and one of them is defeated, dissolving away. The other two look angry. They sharpen their stingers and prepare to attack!

I'm guessing that if I tried to spike Pip and Paula's attack into the Beedrill with Tail Whip it would only damage me?

I'm guessing that if I tried to spike Pip and Paula's attack into the Beedrill with Tail Whip it would only damage me? Depends on what Pip uses. Something like Electro Ball, definitely, but not something like Water Gun that's just a beam of water.

I was referring to their combined attack, in other words an electrical version of whatever Pip uses. Scratch, Howl, and Ember aren't exactly good combo material for something like that, so I'm seeing if I there's a way I can make do with Tail Whip here.

Probably a giant Electro bubble.
