Mox and his strange crew were sitting around a fire that they had made to protect them from the freezing conditions of a night in the desert. Mox's pirates had already downed 5 or 6 bottles of rum each, and were currently wrestling each other for title of "The worst drunk guy ever!", meanwhile his assassins and thieves were plotting their next heist. Mox had personally had enough of suicide runs in bases, and he was meeting with his advisers to prepare raiding parties on trade routes. It was in this chaotic atmosphere that the noise of a screaming bandit could easily go unnoticed. Suddenly a bandit who was part of the forward scouting party barges into the meeting. "Sir, there is a strange army of animals attacking us! They are walking around in a giant circular shield!"
Mox looks unamusingly at the bandit who had barged into his tent. "Alright. Gather the troops, we will meet this threat head on. Scramble the assassins and thieves, I am going to withdraw from here."
Mox's forces begin mobilizing, but the pirates were so drunk that they continued aimlessly fighting each other. The assassins and thieves began escorting Mox out of the fighting area, and come across a scouting party of a dog, 2 snakes, and a cat. The massive squad quickly silences the scouting party, and continue on their exit path.
Mox's main force began to march out, with the crystal armors at the front, 200 spike Soldiers behind the crystal armors, 200 bandits behind them, and 200 drunken pirates staggering trying to keep up with the march. Zagren's massive testudo wall slowly made it's way toward the enemy forces, with almost 500 monkeys keeping the circle full and without any cracks. It looks like an impenetrable wall, but the bandits are known for their devious ways. Suddenly, 15 giant cacti pop out from under the feet of some of the monkeys, knocking out 25 monkeys from the sheer force of the impact (They are unconscious, not dead.). The hole in the wall is pressed when 20 crystal pots run to where the 25 shields had fallen, and explode simultaneously. The shockwave kills 20 monkeys instantly, and knocks out an additional 25.
The monkeys turn their attention to the regenerating crystals beneath their feet and quickly grab them. They throw them in a box that is located at the center of the testudo, and in which they wouldn't do any more damage. As the monkeys turn their attention to the raw crystals, the spike soldiers unleash a hail of spike gunfire. It catches 20 monkeys off guard, killing them instantly, and the others quickly turn about and put their shield wall up. The monkeys continue to march, taking the cacti and throwing them into the box at the center of the testudo.
The bandits charge the monkeys, and the shield wall unleashes it's first wave of spears. The spears impale 30 of the bandits, but the 170 remaining use the spear as a step and hop over the shield wall. The bandits begin fighting 30 huge thought gorillas that were waiting inside the testudo. The gorrilas tear apart 70 of the bandits without batting an eye, as the bandits struggle to kill the monkeys blocking their escape! The bandits manage to take down 40 more monkeys, while panicking and trying to break out of the wall. The 30 Gorrilas grab 30 fleeing bandits, and bring them to their large box at the center.
The spike soldiers let off another wave of spikes fly, killing 5 of the gorrilas who were now exposed from the lack of shield wall. Suddenly 249 cats begin to charge out of the testudo directly at the spike soldiers. The spike soldiers react by firing another wave at the fast cats, but only manage to hit 29 of them before they crash into the spike soldiers! The spike soldiers drive their bodies into the cats, impaling 40 cats, but in close combat the spike soldiers were no contest. The cats begin systematically wiping them out, killing 50 of them instantly. The surviving cats grab 20 spike soldiers, and drag them back to the center, but not before the pirates grab 30 of the cats and take them hostage in a drinking contest! The battle wasn't going well for the bandits, but they had one last trick up their sleeve. Suddenly 200 assassins and 200 thieves descend from behind the Animech army. They massacre 49 speed dogs, and 50 strength dogs instantly. A second melee ensues, with the assassins quickly overwhelming the enemy before a new foe comes forth. 15 boss bears and Zagren come to meet the assassins and thieves on the battlefield. They swiftly dispose of 70 assassins and 50 thieves, and then capture 30 assassins and 20 thieves. The remaining assassins and thieves withdraw, but not before killing 28 snakes in sheer rage, and knocking out 20 more snakes.
"We have what we came for. Withdraw our forces." Zagren said with a grin.
Both sides started to withdraw due to the heavy losses. The results were strange, but it seems that both parties had the intention of capturing as many foes as possible... Prisoners of war? What a strange thing.
